While in unix you can just say "Hey kernel, that process over there, it doesn't exist anymore" and the kernel will just accept it

Like in most of linux. You can go the same routes windows offers, but there's always the nuclear option

Programs freeze all the time, but I can easily kill them within the task manager -> processes

Q: FIFA 15: Can console and PC players play together online?

I have a gaming PC and plan to buy FIFA 15. My friends already play it on their XBoxes. Is it possible that I join them or does the PC version have its own multiplayer servers? The only thing I found out about it was that for former versions of FIFA it did not work.

@TimStone You are smelling multiple things, therefore I would think the plural version should be used. You are also able to distinguish multiple scents, ergo use of smells seems correct to me.
