Sharing stuff isn't always a bad thing to do, but when it's a giant video thumbnail and in some cases not related to the current thread of conversation, some users will get bothered if it's frequent and repeated.

This is actually one of the biggest things in Elona - you can choose not to die, you'll end up back in your home and incur all of a small penalty to your gold, drop a few items where you had died, and in rare cases an item might be permanently gone but those are rare. You can still save-scum on top of this but of note, certain actions auto-save.

There's a corruption effect but it's not nearly as majorly prevalent as the chaos in ADOM, and multiple conditions are easy enough to live with (and as mentioned earlier, the game is as much about a lot of other lifestyles besides beating up monsters).

Rogue Legacy wouldn't be nearly as fun if it didn't have it's permadeath.

There's a Tower of Fire required to be done, but the fire is easily bearable with the right equipment and the bosses at the top are not an absurdly ridiculous Ancient Chaos Wyrm.

@GraceNote Fair enough. I usually save scummed the crap out of the game, though, so I tended to be rather overpowered for wherever I was.

The tower wasn't much a problem even for my physical fighters and even my priest got pretty far, but the Ancient Chaos Wyrm is so much of a beefgate for how early you run into it and it blocks so much of your ability to safely train, too.
