Wow, okay. Figured out what the problem is.

A construction fleet is headed to a system to build a science station for me.

Problem is, the base object is created when you start the construction mission, not when the fleet gets there.

That object got taken out by a random encounter, so when the fleet gets there, it doesn't know what to do, and the game goes boom.

Q: How many unique Pokemon are there in Pokemon GO?

I noticed that you can upgrade your Pokemon storage, to hold more Pokemon. The base amount is 250. This opens 2 questions: How many unique Pokemon are there? If there is less than 250, is there any point to having more than 1 of any given Pokemon?

Most of the answers on that question say there's 151 Pokemon available. But there's actually 6 Pokemon that aren't available.

There are 151 unique pokemon in the game, and 145 capturable. The question asks for the former, so the answers seem fine

I think it depends also on what you mean by "capturable". In principle, you could capture any of the 151. In practice, only 145 are actually available.

I'm fine with saying there's 151. But not a single person points out that 6 are unavailable until I commented on the accepted answer. So, people seeing this answer will most likely think that they can catch 151 unique Pokemon, which is not true.
