Right now when casting a video from a Chrome tab to my TV, there's a 1 second lag. Which is fine when you're just watching a thing, but would completely kill any gaming experience ever.

@badp I don't know the inner workings. I do know that when I tried to cast a video in a tab via Wifi instead of a wired connection it just couldn't keep up at all.

That seems like just a wifi bandwidth limitation.
