i get that you can use [1] on many lines and just need the link once

but since both is mainly copy and paste it does not really make things faster ಠ_ಠ

if the url changes for some reason you only need to change 1 spot. if 1 url changes you would need to change at least 1 url

@Wandang This is consistent. Both are correct. The former is a link that can be reused over and over within the body text, kind of like defining a link and then referencing it, where the second is an in-line one-off link. The former works in questions/answers/tag wikis, but chat only supports the latter.
