@NewlyOpenedProposalsforEntertainment Isn't there something like History.SE?

@Arperum Yeah.

2:21 PM
hello

Good morning, Bridge.

Mo'nin'.
Over the past weekend, I bought more games from GOG.com than I did in several years from Steam.
Now, to fill my PC with games I'll forget I have.

@Frank Morning!

Q: How to connect more than 12 players Counter Strike 1.6

AryaWe generally have around 12-15 players to play CS (CZ / CS 1.6). The issue is, if more than 8 players try to connect to the Host Server, they cannot detect it. Even after overriding Bridge settings, connecting more than 10 players remains a problem. I use a Wi-Fi router (TP-Link) or create an A...

(it's actually terrible afternoon for me)
Was first screwing around with making a wordpress theme (terrible) and now the debugging of one of our website is making my local IIS get stuck when I stop the debugging process to go modify stuff.

Q: Is there a way to make DA:I more PC friendly?

user17949Anybody knows if there are ANY good mods for DA:I? The minimap is a joke! The save is a joke!! As a noob what strategies are recommended? in terms of poker and cards I'm more the t...

@Lazers Yes. Shame on you Bioware for making a game more available.

@JasonBerkan poor ports are poor

@badp Poor ports > No ports.

@JasonBerkan Actually, if they're not going to invest the effort to actually cater to PC, I wish they wouldn't bother.
Because consolitis is a disease. Giving them a pass just because they ported it is wrong.

You would be complaining and saying they were treating PC gamers as subhuman if there was no port. Don't lie.

2:55 PM
@Unionhawk Indeed I would.
Not porting it at all means they freeze out their largest customer base, and a poor port speaks of a lack of effort.

...

PC ports have always been bad. it's no secret that most devs don't care for PC very much.

@Rapitor There have been some decent ones.

It's not really a poor port in the usual sense, but the control scheme is noticeably designed for controllers

Not that I can think of one off the top of my head.

2:57 PM
that's why I said most

@Rapitor I meant decent ports, not decent devs. :P

I'm pretty sure the reasoning for lack of effort on PC ports is because of piracy. They don't make as much money compared to console sales, so they don't try as hard

Inb4 "NOT GOOD ENOUGH"

@Rapitor If they'd stop treating their customers like criminals, I bet that, too, would change.

Ubisoft has definitely said that
the thing is, pirates aren't customers. and usually won't be.

linuxfreebirdAfter siding with the Templars, I now have the choice to immediately start "closing the rift" quest. Q: How do your mods on your Warframe effect your Archwing stats?

Shadow Z.I know you can apply mods to your Warframes, and to your Archwings, but how do the ones on your Warframe effect the stats on your Archwings? Which ones effect both your Warframe and your Archwing and which ones don't (I would prefer if you made one list, of the smaller category).

@Rapitor Depends on your treatment of them.
There was an article just the other day, where a dev gave away a few keys to pirates on the pirate bay.
That word of mouth spreads, and I bet they got a ton of sales for that action.
Whereas if you lock it down with draconian restrictions and people can't even play your game because of DRM, well, the pirated product is actually much more consumer friendly.

I think we're oversimplifying the entire issue of piracy; there are some people out there who will always just look for ways to get free shit.
6

@Rapitor actually that's not true

@Unionhawk Oh, no doubt. I'm not saying there's not.

3:04 PM
I would like people to stop claiming piracy aids sales until they can show some data on that.
That said, DRM seems like a net loss

There's always going to be some people who will pirate regardless.
@Sterno And I wish those that automatically assume piracy is a loss in sales would show data on that.

Yeah, and there are people who will pirate because uPlay, which is the single dumbest thing ever.

Not everyone pirating is a lost sale.

@badp That's claiming that 93% of games are pirated on PC?

The reason devs make the PC version the same as the console version is simply development effort. It takes way less effort to make them the same then to create two completely different <feature x> for one game.

3:05 PM
@Unionhawk I pirated AC2. After buying it from Steam. It required me to run an uPlay server emulator
I ended up not playing AC2 at all.

@Frank That seems kind of hypocritical!
(but I agree)

Everyone is wrong! Yay!
(except @badp; he has data)

@Sterno I'm not following; because I'm not showing data, I'm being a hypocrite?

The problem with DA:I is mostly some bad UI and control design in general. It is worse with keyboard and mouse, as the console was obviously the target. It has nothing to do at all with piracy

@MadScientist Which, incidentally, I suspect mods could or would solve.

3:07 PM
@Frank If you are claiming that piracy aids sales (without data) while being mad at people who claim piracy hurts sales (without data), then yes, I'd say that is being a hypocrite.

@Frank The Frostbite engine is said to be not exactly mod-friendly

@Sterno Alright. Let's see what I can find.

HOORAY!
I'm hoping for pie charts

Some people who pirate end up buying the game, however, you will always have the "free shit" group, who will never buy the game.
Like, even if their crack stops working or whatever, they'll just look for a new pirate copy or just never play that game again.

All I can say is that from personal experience, when I was poor and in college I pirated a lot of games. Most would not have been sales, because I simply didn't have money. But I had some money, so there would have been some sales. Except I was in pirate mode, and just got everything free. Later on when I graduated, got a job, and had money, I tried to make myself feel better by buying a lot of them... but at bargain bin prices, which really, is not the same thing.

3:09 PM
So I heard the results back from the vet today about my cat. She does have cancer, and there isn't much they can do for her, so I will eventually need to put her down. They said she's not suffering yet, but that she will eventually start t suffer, which is when I'll put her down.

That said, did me saying "Dude, that game I pirated is awesome!" lead to sales? Maybe. Except I was probably telling other people who were going to pirate it too when they found out how easy it was for me.

@Wipqozn D:

I'm sure there were some I pirated that I told people sucked, too
@Wipqozn :(

Here's a reminder: to a game publisher, let alone a game developer, there is absolutely no difference between a copy of a game obtained from Pirate Bay and a copy of a game obtained from Game Stop

@badp Huh? I'm assuming you mean a used copy at GameStop?

3:11 PM
@JasonBerkan yes

@Sterno I recall pirating Borderlands when it first came out.
I played it for a day, and it was so awesome, I went to the store to buy a couple copies; one for me, one for @TrentHawkins. They didn't have it yet.

the only difference is that they can't flame Game Stop (and others that do the same) because otherwise they won't sell their games

That's why the publishers are spending almost the same effort to stop resale as stopping piracy

so they restort to blaming piracy

So I shrugged, and kept playing it until they did. And still bought two copies.

3:12 PM
@LessPop_MoreFizz Fair enough. Damn :/
4 mins ago, by Unionhawk
Some people who pirate end up buying the game, however, you will always have the "free shit" group, who will never buy the game.

@Unionhawk And thinking of those as customers is the wrong mindset.
Counting their pirated copies as lost sales is a misunderstanding, as they never would have bought it in the first place.

I think the "free shit" group is much smaller than the "I actually cannot buy things online" crowd

Q: what level do i have to be to kill Hinterlands/Storm coast dragon?

CherubelThe Hinterlands dragon is lvl 12 and whenever I go in there it murders me. What level do I need to be to have a smidge of a chance? In the Sword coast I "helped" the dragon by killing the giant. now I cant find the dragon. Where is it and can I kill it with a lvl 11 party?

@badp Meh, true

Is humble bundle piracy still a thing people are talking about?

3:14 PM
> "It's just that not all pirates are the same. Of course there are people that would pirate the game even if it would cost 10 cents, but you can do nothing about them," 11 bit's Pawel Miechowski told Polygon.

"What many of us often forget though, is that there are also other people. Folks that are doing that, because they are simply pissed about the current quality of many games, or those who simply can't afford the game at the time, because of some personal reasons," he continued. "That's why we believe that instead of treating everyone the same way, where pirates are the most evil peopl

People made some noise about it for the very first one.

See, this is the correct attitude to have in regards to piracy.
It's more nuanced than what the big publishers like to yell.

@badp Not really, though I can remember reading some arguments about it online, but that was a while ago.

@5pike yeah, the wikipedia sources on the topic only talk about the very first bundle

@badp AFAIK, it was a back-and-forth between "Why even pay if you can pirate", "Why pirate when you can just pay a cent?", "Why even bother paying a cent?" etc...

Q: I have paragon now?

QuillionI have opened the game with old save today to discover that my science cap has dropped from 1.7 M to 1.1 M and that I have 4 paragon now. How did I get that 4 paragon? I never reset the game before.

I mean, I am pirate scum (I only bought the 3ds because of the flashcart), but I rather pay a dollar to support charity than go out of my way and pirate those games separately.

@5pike The developer of Defender's Quest had a pretty good article about piracy.
The basic gist is that there are other, less tangible currencies that people have, and how those are valued is weighted differently on a per-person basis.
So some might value their actual dollars higher than their personal integrity when it comes to pirating something, or weight the convenience of being able to pirate higher.
And as time goes on, those weightings also change.

"I am going to pirate this thing because I cannot afford to buy it" is still "I am going to pirate this thing." ...

@Unionhawk Yes, but it doesn't automatically them dirty rotten scum.

But they still pirated a thing. Like, last I checked that's still not legal regardless of whether or not you could have afforded to buy it.

3:27 PM
The "cannot afford it" argument is problematic, because often you can afford it. In many you're just choosing to spend your money on other things that would be harder to acquire for free. Like cigarettes. Or booze. Or a nice stereo for your car

@Unionhawk It's not a black and white picture; there's lots of nuance to the issue, and by portraying it as a basic right or wrong does a disservice to the discussion.
@Sterno That, too.

I've pirated games that my dad owns but I was too lazy to visit him in order to borrow. I've also pirated games that I own but left at my mom's when I moved out.

And it's not like they're pirating a loaf of bread to feed their starving family either

(and yes, there are still those who literally are broke and can't afford anything beyond necessities, but I would submit those people probably aren't running high-end PCs to pirate the latest games anyway)

There's moral grey areas in that

3:28 PM
I've mostly pirated games I couldn't find a place to buy

@Unionhawk Downloadable bread would be great

@Sterno I recall spending hours playing SNES games on my crappy old 386.

Q: How do I not get kicked for targeting a single opponent?

ChaseCI've been repeatedly kicked for targeting a single opponent. The issue is that sometimes this happens in a 2v2 and the other team is down to 1 person. Once my team starts going after that one guy, we sometimes get kicked.

I had a pirate version of Baldur's Gate before Enhanced Edition came out; which I bought almost on release

Only once have I pirated a game that I didn't feel "entitled" to by either owning myself or my father owning it, and that was because I was sure I'd regret buying it.

3:28 PM
(My brother was in Les Miserables, and it was so good, so that's where that seemingly-random comment came from)

And I was right. I pirated Octodad, played for like an hour, and said "yup, good thing I didn't pay for this."
More recently, I started re-buying games that I already own because it's cheap
GOG.com got a lot of money from me re-buying games I already own but hate having to use the CD for

Overall pirates don't bother me unless they start trying to justify themselves to me or worse, tell me how they're actually helping the game.
Just accept you're being a bit of a dick (degree of dickitude varies) and enjoy your free game
9

@Sterno This

@Frank There are not nearly as many grey areas as you seem to think... Like... what @Sterno just said.

@Unionhawk I'm saying that piracy isn't inherently good or bad. It's a symptom of a greater issue.

3:31 PM
I think that Steam and GOG are great examples of piracy actually being less convenient.

@Koviko They very much are.

@Koviko This is very true. I suspect that without Steam, I might still be a filthy pirate.

If you don't want to discuss it, fine. But if you continue to just yell piracy = bad, well, this discussion isn't going to go anywhere.

@Koviko GoG yes, steam no.

@Rapitor For me, at least, Steam is pretty damn convenient. Click button, have game

3:32 PM
@Rapitor I can buy, install and play a game on Steam for far less effort than pirating it would take.

Yeah, piracy is too much work.

@JasonBerkan They're roughly the same convenience for me.

I think we can all agree on that. No, @Uni, why would you ever say this.
Or not. Of course not.

Now they just need to make online video rentals not cost $5

@JasonBerkan Steam also keeps it up to date for me

3:33 PM
Or only last for 24 hours

@Batophobia This is a huge advantage.

@Frank You have one-click "purchase" and install for pirated games?

Piracy requires a lot of "checking the comments" for me. I'm always worried I'm going to get a virus or get caught.

@JasonBerkan If you know the right source, yes.

DRM sometimes means you need to block the app from having Internet access

3:34 PM
@Unionhawk the thing about piracy is that it's effortless... you download. mount. and go. at least for me anyway.

@JasonBerkan More or less, yeah.

And then find a crack to get around the other DRM
And a keygen for the other other DRM
And a no-CD for the physical DRM

@Koviko Quite often, though, a pirated product (uPlay, SecuROM, and Starforce, looking at you!) is better than the purchased product.

on bad pirated games

@Rapitor I guess I just never looked into such things because I don't care enough.

3:35 PM
If you have to find a crack or keygen after pirating, you're doing it wrong

Because quite often, the pirated copies strip out all that crap.

I purchased Planescape: Torment from GOG specifically so I could avoid having to deal with the whole CD thing.

Before steam was a thing, I often used no-cd cracks for my legit games because putting the disc into the drive to start a game was an inconvenience.
Or mini-iso's

@5pike would that still be considered piracy? I mean the No-CD patches still required you have the game

The happiest day of my life was when I could throw my 200+ gaming CDs out because I had everything I wanted on Steam
(sorry, children, you being born was cool and all, but...)

3:37 PM
@Rapitor I don't really know.

@Rapitor Piracy? Not exactly. But it is intentionally going around DRM and requires you to go to shady websites.

@Rapitor It's not piracy, but it's also probably not legal

@Unionhawk ffs why is your state so windy

The absolute best way to lower piracy is to provide value a pirated copy can't.
@Sterno I would've taken those off your hands.

@Sterno I still haven't thrown out my old CDs. But I did throw out all of the jewel cases.

3:38 PM
@Frank pretty hard to beat the value of free, but i get it

@Rapitor Depends on how highly you value your cash.

@Frank Like the field-of-view slider in FarCry 4?

@Rapitor Automatic updates. Organizable list of games.

@5pike Well, pretty sure there are pirated copies of that out now.

@Frank Yes, but that's still funny.
Or the one in game-dev-tycoon, where pirates ruin your business if you use a pirated version.

3:39 PM
But more along the lines of things like physical goods. Connecting with your audience; providing value in terms of actual, tangible items that just downloading a game doesn't give you.

@5pike their pirated version

I also think a lot of video game piracy comes from the fact that there are a lot of young gamers that just don't have money.
So as a lot of us "mature" out of it, more kids are being born.

That's the thing, stuff like that works for a bit, but, the pirated copies catch up to these things eventually.

1 min ago, by 5pike
@Frank Yes, but that's still funny.

@5pike Fair enough

3:41 PM
@Koviko They have money for like 4 games a year. So instead they pirate 50 games a year and buy 0 games a year.

The Sims 4 has the online content store thing which is a value you probably can't get from a pirate version

(at least, that's how I did it back in my younger days)

@Sterno They spend all the money on the console games and steal the PC games

@Sterno Heh. I stopped pirating when I realized I only had time to play 2 games a year.

Also how I did it.

3:41 PM
I usually play like, 4 distinct games per year, so, that's about right.

Or if they do buy a game, which one might eventually get their money? Probably the ones with Draconian DRM that couldn't be cracked on day 1

@JasonBerkan That's part of being an adult. No time for all these damn games.

Actually. i take that back. pirated games usually don't have working multiplayer. that's definitely an incentive to buy

I've actually started pirating a ton less, because I don't have time to play all the games I do own, let alone even more.

I would probably have to still pirate games if Steam sales weren't a thing

3:42 PM
@Frank Yup.

@Rapitor And there's value a pirated copy doesn't have.

@Koviko i was definitely a kid pirate

Though now with sales and bundles, I probably buy ~20 games a year. That sit, silent and forgotten.

I actually almost bought a game I already own, yesterday.

It is fascinating to me that a rules-oriented person like @Frank is apparently one of the filthiest pirates on The Bridge.

3:42 PM
I buy so much crap with Steam and Humble Bundle that I forget I own

You kids and your bundles

@Sterno You're equating piracy as an inherently bad action.

also @Rapitor your kid pirate past clearly hasn't tried pirating Valve's own games, because man, my kid pirate past struggled with that.

I'll buy like 10 new games, and then go back to playing the same ones I was playing before I bought them.

@Sterno I'm pretty sure that the title of "filthiest pirate" belongs to me... but whatever.

3:43 PM
Portal was for some reason one of the hardest games to get running

That is not a judgment in any way (okay, I used the word "filthy", but I always do that when talking about pirates, because reasons). It is just not a thing I expected.

@Sterno Speaking of which, did anyone crack Dragon Age yet? I'm curious what that DRM anti-tampering solution does, considering FIFA 15 hasn't been cracked yet.

@TimStone I am the wrong person to ask.

@Sterno Much of it is convenience factor for me.

I haven't pirated a game in about 8 years
Maybe more

3:44 PM
@Sterno That's a long time.
I've given in at some point in there.

That, and I don't agree with digital copies of a game being a "license", and therefore I have less rights to it than I do a physical copy.

@Unionhawk has scuba bum. Pretty sure that makes him the filthiest pirate.

@Frank If that means that games become as dirt cheap as quickly as they do, honestly I'll allow it

@Frank Another option then is to not buy it and not play it, rather than pirate it.

Trading rights for monetary value is a privilege that is not afforded in basically any other content industry
"Want an ebook? HA HA HA! Pay full price anyway!"

3:46 PM
@badp When the value of a physical copy is the same as a digital copy, yeah, no. Only when a digital copy is cheaper does that become acceptable.

@badp I wonder if any indie book writers are trying to sell ebooks for decent prices.

The best ebooks cost more than physical copies.

@Koviko probably there's tons.

I think the price of video games dropping digitally is because publishers are now an optional step.

@Frank Solution: Wait for a Steam sale.

3:46 PM
It makes me a little sad that my Steam library technically can't become heirloom. But rebuilding it won't be very expensive.

Video game publishers versus developers to me is like car dealerships versus manufacturers.
It's an unneeded step.

Sep 18 at 15:18, by Frank
I'll probably wait until it's on sale, though, 'cuz reasons.

@Sterno I think it's been about that long for me as well, buying bootleg copies in Hong Kong.

@TimStone chinese bootlegs are best games

woooo! I unbroke the stupid wp theme.

3:48 PM
@Rapitor They even came with a warranty!

Now for the super weird linq-to-sql issue.

@Arperum No you didn't, it's still WP.

@TimStone AT least it has a fucking footer.

\o/

Stupid silent error nonsense.
I also got a bugreport today for something that I traced to a single linq to sql query. DB has correct data, query contains select x where y => suddenly data is wrong.

3:51 PM
Wrong in what sort of way?

suddenly three times the same line selected, instead of three lines who differ in one cell.

Ahh

There is also no line to be made which one it randomly selects, if ordered alphabetically, it most often takes the first line, except if you go screwing around with breakpoints, then it's random.
I split the ordereing away from te rest of the query, but that was not the issue.

I think that can happen if you don't have a clustered index on the table?
I think the order of the default return can change

What's your linq look like?

3:56 PM
SLightly low priority tough, since it is unknown how long it is there anyway, and it was noticed by my boss, and not by a client. And the resulting link you follow has to be the same anyway, the link only needs three different names on the pages (because travel agencies, three times the same link with a different name is stupid)

My guess would be an implicitly captured closure in the where

@Sterno view.Where(i => i.lang== lang && i.groupid == value.groupid)

Hrm. That's pretty straightforward

(I changed names of prameters a bit, but left nothing out)
@Sterno Exactly, if it was a stupid complex query, I'd understand it going weird. But this?
If I do the query it should generate on the db I get correct data.
but it seems to be the wrong data, but I can't find the produced query. I keep forgetting how to do that.

What technology are you using?
nhProf or Entity Framework Profiler (depending on ORM) can show you the generated query
They cost money but have free trials

4:01 PM
@Sterno .net 3.5 with whatever linq version works with that (IIRC 1.0 or 1.1)

Glimpse might even show you if it's a web app
(I can't remember if it shows the actual query, or just that a call is being made)

Q: PokeNav Search levels in ORAS

Sentinel GamingHow do you increase the search levels for the PokeNav, because so far in Alpha Sapphire I have seen levels of about anywhere from 1-12 for random pokemon that are hiding.But I do not how to increase the level or if the level really matters.

I got the query, now find out why it looks this stupid a query, and what is wrong with it.
OK... manualy executing the generated query results in the expected correct result... letting it run through the code gives wrong output.
Note: there is nothing that touches said code.

Always a fun time

This is beyond WTF.

WizLizIn the new Dragon Age, who can I recruit as fellow member of my team; also how and where do I recruit each of them ?

Oh boy, the joys of setting up 2 monitors ...
Can I change the "size" of monitor 1? Because this one is smaller.

5:17 PM
@5pike what gpy do you have?

@Chippies an nvidia card

the gpu drivers usually handle this better than windows settings

@5pike It runs off the selected resolution of the monitor.

@5pike nvidia control panel has a pretty basic multi-display menu, but it's better than what windows offers

5:18 PM
@Chippies I take a look

I don't think you can actually change the "size" beyond resolution
not really sure what you even mean by size

with a newer nvidia its even possible to make the both screens appear as one (thats how someone can play wow on both screens in fullscreen ;) )

@Chippies Monitor 2 is 24", monitor 2 is 22".

@5pike the only thing I can think of is scaling, but I don't think you can apply that to each monitor separately
that's one of the reasons why people usually get multiple monitors of same size

5:21 PM
@Chippies True, but the new monitor was an unbeatable deal. Well, seems I just have to deal with it.

I know I have one monitor at one resolution, and another at a different resolution, but I can't remember how I did it.

@5pike put them further away from each other and it won't be as noticeable? :P
@Unionhawk that's simple

I'll live with it.

but if you have 2 monitors of different size with same resolution, you can't really do much to scale them to have equally sized things

@5pike had the same problem, 24" and 27" and the 24" had a little higher resolution... i don't know any solution except geforce.com/hardware/technology/surround

5:23 PM
basically, I guess it boils down to PPI

but that dont fix your problem

Ah...
I see

@Serverfrog how would nvidia surround help with this?
I would definitely not want to use surround on different size monitors :P

Yeah, good luck with resolution independence
We've only really got it on mobiles, and then they only deal with a single monitor

Waiting is boring. Especially if you are hungry.
I'm at the vet, 25 min extra delay because valid reasons. Dog with a broken leg sounds like a valid idea tot me.

5:39 PM
@Arperum Poor dog. :(

5:55 PM
Did the canned responses in the Low Quality queue get shortened?

Today is going to be One Of Those Days.

@Frank don't think so.

Slept through alarm clock this morning. Came in to find Hudson is broken for no apparent reason. Realized that I forgot something I needed, so after work I get to drive back home before heading out again.

6:09 PM
my favorite is probably:

@Rapitor Or by a stoner...

@5pike kids are basically stoners... Imagination is one helluva drug

So close

that one is actually pretty clever... would catch people offgaurd

The ham one...

6:17 PM
I now have admin privileges on our Dev server as the admin guy doesn't want to be bothered trying to fix this.

original plan for darkness falls: give away all heart containers in deals with the devil, ideally dark bum. Get the polaroid and stay at ½ heart as long as possible
current status: womb II, 9 heart containers, full health, full health pill, the sun card, 8 heart pickups on the ground
I CAN'T EVE

Now comes the fun of "which directory is Maven in on the server"

Q: Longest dagger in Skyrim

ProdiasWhether unique or smithable, what is the longest dagger in Skyrim? I know it does not effect the reach of the blade and I'm not picky on damage (it's a dagger, best case scenario 30x damage). It's just that, I know some weapons are longer than others, though length and weight don't reflect on any...

@Chippies I'm still coming to terms with there being more than 151.

6:26 PM
@Koviko I hated it at first, but over the years I got cool with it. I don't even mind the newest 'mons

@Chippies guess I still have hope because i enjoy dubstep and pokemon. yay!

> Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

@Chippies I also can't bring myself to buy the new pokemon games, either.
I just want Nintendo to make a Pokemon MMO.

@Koviko Alpha Sapphire/ Omega Ruby are basically Ruby/Sapphire, but better
Heartgold and SoulSilver were my favorite remakes
but honestly, the new games (B&W and X&Y) were pretty crappy, imho

@Chippies That's how almost every Pokemon game seems to be. Same game with some improvements on a new system.
Pokemon is like COD

6:28 PM
@Koviko but the remakes are better, because they're actually improving the old and tested good games

Pokemon desperately needs to tell you type information of the things you're fighting
how has that not made it into the game yet?

@Chippies "old and tested" implies that they're selective

If it was an MMO, those would be xpacs instead of new games.
And I could show off my collection to people who cared.

@murgatroid99 it implies the nostalgia factor plays a huge role in how good a pokemon game is
a lot of people loved B&W, B&W2 and X&Y, but I'm also guessing they didn't play the much earlier games
or maybe I'm just getting old

@Chippies my point is that they're remaking all of the old games, in order (not counting the third game of each generation)
@Chippies I liked X, and I played the old games a lot

6:30 PM
I guess if I really think about it, B&W2 (I didn't have B&W) and X&Y were the only ones I didn't like
they were seriously lacking end-game content and going through story was too stretched and boring
or maybe I just had high expectations set by SoulSilver
because that game was the best

Gen 2 best gen

No idea how M2_HOME wasn't set on the server or why it was working before without it set, but it's fixed now.

@badp I am somehow not surprised that that's a thing

In a breach of the QUORA DIGEST DIGEST POLICIES I thought I should mention the top voted answer is literally 29 rows of 17 Xs. "Count 'em up yourself."

What.

6:51 PM
@badp Actually, the highest voted answer is about outsourcing the work to India

@Yuuki @spugsley and any other Dragon Age Inquisition players... Does the multiplayer spoil anything about the story? I wanna get it, and play multiplayer, but I don't wanna play the main game until I finish DA1 and 2 again.

I... Don't even.

@Fluttershy According to devs, multiplayer will not spoil singleplayer.

Unfortunately no comments on the top answers came up with the retort "Hmm, I counted 492 X's, so I guess I was right all along!"

You're going to trust the Internet over a device designed to do the thing you're asking. Wat.

6:52 PM
Although some classes need to be unlocked in singleplayer before you can use them in multiplayer, I think. I could be wrong.

@murgatroid99 I'm sorry, for a moment there I thought Quora made sense

@Fluttershy I don't play multiplayer so I'm not sure
