as it is, I don't have much that is current-gen - I have a PS2, a wii, and my 3ds. The only thing that really is current is the 3ds :P

The reason I own the consoles I do, and most of the games I do, is because I was able to play used games, like them, and then I would purchase the sequels (or new games from that company) new to support them

I play mostly consoles. PC I play rarely

@Retrosaur and it is different for different weapons. For example, for the Rocket Launcher and the grenade launcher shoot in two different ways, one is an arc, the other is a straight line. Also depending on the tracjectory the enemy is traveling at you should lead at different parts of the body.

@Retrosaur It also depends on the trajectory you are taking. If I am standing still, and the enemy is travelling up in a straight line, you want to aim for their head. If the yare travelling down in a straight line aim at their feet.

@SimonL But it isn't hitscan, so I have to wait for the projectiles to hit their target. Thus, when do I shoot? When can I shoot to ensure that I hit them at the apex of their jumps?

@Retrosaur You also need to add lead time depending on how far away you are from them and their velocity.

Yeah I noticed, I'm pulling up another one

Also, to be fair, the enemies he is fighting are moving straight up and down for a large distance, as a soldier you don't want to do that - you want to be able to change your trajectoy quickly and be moving diagnolly.

In a competitive environment, you can sometimes predict where an enemy will be based on where medpack/ammo kit spawn locations are.

I actually pulled out SC4 the other day to play, and had a blast in a new city in a new region, building the city from scratch up to 20k population

Then the game crashed and wiped away an hour and a half's worth of work *sigh*

I built a city lastnight

then I got disconnected

then I realised it was 3am and I hadn't noticed

then I tried to reconnect and couldn't

so I went to bed

SC4 is just so unstable. They never really patched away all those bugs.

It's a 10 year old game, but still

I did find an autosave script, which basically just presses ctrl+s for you every x minutes

The only problem is SC4 doesn't have background saves, so every time the game saves it freezes everything

If the city gets too big it could take minutes to save.

It's really tempting to go start a new fortress in DF2012. You can now do designations over multiple z-levels, and there's minecarts

Also, while this computer has a terrible graphics card, it does have a really sweet CPU

And if there's one game that's CPU bound it's DF

minecarts are annoying imo.

but you "kind" of need them due to other stuff (bolders.)
