I mean, D3/ME3 were feeding frenzies, sure, but good lord. we were just inundated by garbage so fast, and the terminology was so impenetrable that most of us just kind of went cross eyed and didn't know what to do
@agent86 The terminology was the biggest hurdle I think, non-LoL players were pretty much incapable of efficient community moderation on those questions.
@MadScientist yeah, the terminology is also very short-hand-esque, so sometimes you'd get a quality question that just looked like a bunch of spam/garbage.
no real way to discern "is this bad subjective? is this a real question? did someone's cat sit on their keyboard, and then miraculously tag the question league-of-legends?"

THe SMS one does not appear to be an authenticator at all.. but a secondary protection on the system if it gets hijacked to take it back.
