@Fredy31 I think NickT was giving recommendations for chips more than for cards; you can probably find a comparable card with the given chip if you look around at amazon.

and yes, many cards these days take two adjacent slots. in your case orientation, it would probably take a slot + the one below it.

I don't believe it requires 2 connectors though, just the size of it requires an extra slot's worth of space for cooling.

@MarkTrapp It's indicative of a broader issue. I'd rather lose a few good questions by having a set of easily articulated standards than have to fight over every question, because that just becomes an exhausting slog that makes everyone unhappy.

I'm perfectly open to other suggestions as to what those standards should be, and readily acknowledge that my own proposal is essentially spitballing on the issue, but that's a separate discussion.

I'm for banning technical issues questions entirely because we are demonstrably not the best place to get those questions answered, but that position is perms-blocked on people saying "no we are really" and said people rejecting any measurable data showing we aren't, which is an exact rehash of ITG and game-rec
