@GnomeSlice The props 1) had a certain charm, and 2) the CGI that was applied after the fact was in many cases sloppy and kind of fake looking, and 3) introduced several very controversial narrative changes to the films.

@LessPop_MoreFizz I do miss clever practical effects and animatronics in movies. When I go back and look at behind-the-scenes stuff for Labyrinth for example, all the motors and servos in Hoggle's face to get it to do all the right facial expressions, that was a challenge and an art back then.

Q: Is there any purpose in the "inverting" potion?

In the classic Prince of Persia (1989), at level 9, there is a green potion that inverts the screen, making it harder to control the Prince. Does it have any purpose other than increasing the difficulty on your first playthrough?

I had excluded the scenario where Terran dominates a priori given your comment

Q: Is it possible to interact with animals in Fez?

Apparently it is necessary to interact with the owls in order to solve the puzzle in the owl statue room. Is it possible to interact with the other creatures, such as snails and crows at any stage in the game?
