it blows you don't get kill credit/xp for knocking enemies off ledges
in swtor

would be to easy if you did, most likely to many exploits would come from that

yeah, but you lose the loot, plus I don't think that champion/boss characters can be knocked

I could see credit for kill towards a quest could some times be acceptable(if it fit in with the story line), but with xp it would be to much trouble preventing low level chars going to a high level place and just knocking off high level enemies for xp

Q: Is there a quick way to get groups together?

Nick TIs there some World of Warcraft meeting stone/Warlock summon analog in The Old Republic to quickly assemble groups and fetch that last straggler that takes 5 minutes to walk across the station? Q: Are there any free (non-browser) games available for the Wii?

NetteI just got a Wii with Wii Sports Resort and two Motion Plus controllers, but don't want to spend any more money on games for a while. Are there any free games available for Wii, like there are for Steam and XBox Live? Preferrably multiplayer. I could probably play Flash games in the browser, bu...

12:27 AM
@alexanderpas why on earth does that deserve to be reopened.

@LessPop_MoreFizz because it's an question with a simple answer available... there aren't any free games available - and the question ask for official released games (from the Wii Shop Channel)

@alexanderpas Can you guarantee me absolutely that no free game will ever be released for the Wii?
If you can source that fact, then the question can be edited and re-opened.
Otherwise it still violates policy.

How does it violate policy; it's not a rec or anything
it does seem analogous to the linked Steam question

Q: How to handle automatic low quality flags?

lunboksAs a 10k user, what are you supposed to do with automatic, Community-cast low quality flags? I'm mostly wondering about posts that, in my opinion, don't warrant further flags. Should I try and give that post a spit-shine via editing? Does that dismiss the flag, or update the displayed post scor...

@NickT "Are there any games where I can recruit monsters and have them fight for me?" It's not a game rec, the 'answer' is "Yes."
@NickT That said, it could be rephrased to be analogous with the Steam question, sure - "How do I search for free games in the Wii Shop".

12:37 AM
7 coal get
→ 25% off valve
yessssssssssssss

So because the question was phrased as Y/N it's off topic...there is no reasonable way someone could expand upon their Y/N

But I don't think that that's a particularly great question. The Steam one is old, and slipped through the cracks at least partly because it lacks I suspect.

@badp they ran out of third party stuff.

@NickT Any reasonable way to expand upon the Y/N is essentially game-rec.

@alexanderpas uhhh. I know non-Valve stuff is no longer eligible to be won but... link?

12:39 AM
No, it would be saying "in the Wii Dashboard you can go here to see free games/demos"
(I have no idea how the Wii works btw)

Q: How do I use Steam Coupons?

lunboksAll those coupons I got from the Gift Pile event are about to become valid, so I might as well ask: How do I actually use them? Do I sort of activate them from my Inventory, or can I select them at some point during checkout?

@badp It was on /r/gaming a while back.

@NickT But there are no free games.

@ArdaXi eh. I've never been subscribed to that reddit to begin with. I also haven't checked Reddit for a while.

12:43 AM
That's not an answer?

@NickT Yours is not an answer, no.

I meant yours
if that's the answer, then that's the answer

Big brother: From meta-irony to idea and back.

@NickT In this case, the answer is "right now, there aren't any"

4chan: Rwandan representation.
@ArdaXi I'm deeply suspicious of any close reason based on localization in time - the nature of our content base means that we're going to have a lot of that, and it's just the way things are.

12:46 AM
Still a pretty definitive answer; again the whole "too localized" thing is a bit of a red herring when a good chunk of Minecraft/WoW, etc questions on the site, for example, are likely obsolete/wrong

We had this debate many, many, many, many, many, many times.

As a rule of thumb, 'subject to change' should not mean 'too localized'. Save that for 'specific to an actual day on the calendar - i.e., release dates.

After about a year of discussing it, we reached a conclusion.
I really don't wish to have it yet again.

@badp store.steampowered.com/holidaysale <- BIG RED BOX! click it.

Where

12:47 AM
@ArdaXi Yes, and the conclusion, as I understand it is what I just typed. There are other good reasons to consider a lot of questions that fall there out of bound, but 'subject to change' isn't a particularly good one.

Well, yes, the simplest reason to close it is "It's a game-rec question."
@alexanderpas The big red box is not actually clickable.

@ArdaXi it may look like a game-rec, but the underlying question is not game-rec

@ArdaXi How is it a game rec question, the person is asking a black and white question; are there free games

@alexanderpas So you really think the user is merely interested in whether there are free games, and not the games themselves?
He's already bought the console, so he's not basing his purchase on that fact.

That's not the question

12:50 AM
@NickT Do you really believe all this user wants is a yes or no answer?
In what way would that answer help him?

He would stop looking in vain
Putting any rumors he may have heard to rest

@ArdaXi yes answer: now he knows were to look; no answer: knows not to look for it anymore.

No.
With a yes answer he still wouldn't know where to look.

No what
That would be a shitty yes answer
And that wouldn't really be the fault of the question

Imagine this conversation. "Q: Hi. Do you know where I can find a post office? A: Yes. Q: Thanks! scene "
Any answer more than "Yes" would make it a game-rec question.

12:52 AM
If someone is that thick, they deserve several downvotes

@NickT And if someone isn't, the question deserves several close votes.

@ArdaXi do we have autism in here? (I do, Asperges)

So answering questions beyond what was asked is a bad trait?

@alexanderpas Yeah, but that's got nothing to do with the topic at hand.
@NickT In the case of game-rec, yes.

@ArdaXi it does, that scene was a perfect example of taking the question literally.

12:54 AM
@alexanderpas You... clearly had no idea what I was trying to convey.

It could easily be answered in a non-game-rec manner if they just offer how to find those free games on the Wii

What I'm trying to say is, if someone answers with more than Yes or No, it's a game-rec question.
I was trying to show how silly your stance is of "It's a yes/no question so it's not game-rec" unless I'm understanding you wrong.

No, it's a question that doesn't ask about the merits of games at all beyond the totally objective "are they free"

@NickT So?

ANYWAY
The question has been rewritten. It is no longer game-rec.

12:56 AM
If you're unwilling to look up why game-rec is not allowed here, discussion is rather unfruitful.

Saying where to find them on the Wii system isn't a "game-rec"
@LessPopMoreFizz it wasn't anyways unless you read too much into it

At this point, on it's merits it is "How can I search for Wii games by price - particularly those that are free." Which is... concrete and answerable, but also not a great question.
@NickT It unquestionably was exactly that as written the first time. It was written identically to any number of game rec questions that ask, for example "are there any sci-fi rpgs"

Well, unfortunately, since there isn't anyone else here who was active in the whole game-rec debate then and this site seems to favour the majority... I'm going to withdraw.

I saw it at some mid-edit then

@ArdaXi Similar - Q: "are there Wii multiplayer games available?" A: "Yes, you can recognise them with the icon on the back of the box" - game-rec?

12:58 AM
I'm not making myself very clear, I guess.

"Where's the closest Post Office?" "This one is a mile away, the others are 400" <-- subjective?

Enjoy, you won't listen to anything I have to say anyway.

Q: Textbooks in A Kingdom for Keflings

DForck42In the game A Kingdom for Keflings, you can find some textbooks. So far I've found 2. I can not for the life of me figure out what they are for. What do you do with the text books?

Your argument just doesn't make any sense, like the one about pricing
You may be ultimately right, but your logic doesn't flow at all

@NickT It kind of impresses me how often people can be right for the wrong reasons. Not here specifically, just in general.

1:03 AM
ffs, I have scanned every goddamn smuggler in this bar and none have what I need

6
Q: So, what actually is a game-rec?

badpThe problem with all encompassing policies is that people tend to use those instead of using the brain and determining whether a question possesses or not the bad qualities that make game-rec's toxic for the site. What exactly is a game-rec?

broken quest

@NickT Which quest?

The Flow of Goods, Jedi Consular on Courscant

@NickT Hmm. I could probably get to that quest within an hour or so to double check if it's broken for you - my Shadow is level 12
but... Agent is too much fun

1:04 AM
@NickT Yeah see, this means one of two things. One, my logic is flawed. Possible, but you've never ever been able to show me that, just tell me that. Two, you simply fail to understand me.

Lol, and my companion just glitched on some ledge and then "was defeated"
Is that Steam question a game rec?

@NickT I would've said so, yes. The answer in this case manages to answer it objectively, but the answers after it show how harmful that kind of question is.
If that accepted answer hadn't turned up we would've had ~30 answers on that question.
See this one for example.

I am just amused at the whole "removed" bit, because there's no edit or anything

@AshleyNunn flagged.

The deleted answers on that question

1:12 AM
Hurray! We are a flagging army

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz Some day, some day I will be able to see them XD

@AshleyNunn it seems you have been exposed to the truth about this chatroom.

I remember when this chat-room was mostly "Here's a question, go close it"
We've come a long way since then.

user15026
@ArdaXi Oh, how it has evolved.... ;)

user15026
1:14 AM
We actually have conversations! About things that aren't flags!
2

@ArdaXi the whole point is that the question has a very objective answer; "go here and it lists all the F2P games"

user15026
Well, except for this one.

@NickT Well... the majority of answers doesn't agree.

on the steam one?

Both Steam ones I linked.
Although the former has less of a convincing majority.

1:15 AM
@LessPopMoreFizz that quest pointed me at some room with a smuggler who looked normal so I scanned him and moved on, but there were actually 2 in the room, the other hiding in the back

@NickT aaaaah.
Having now run both, Black Talon > Esselles.
By a mile

Look, if you want to re-open the question, fine, but all it's going to do is extend the line further and further until all game-rec is suddenly allowed.

user15026
Oh, ick. Game-rec makes me twitchy just thinking about it.

I mean, if we can open this one based on the Steam one, then we can open another one based on this one, et cetera, et cetera.

@ArdaXi that question is easily fixed to "how do I know if a game stores it's state to the steam cloud", just as the other one is a fairly clear-cut parallel to the steam question

user15026
1:16 AM
I don't like things that can't be definitively answered.

@AshleyNunn It's hard to define "definitively" though.
I mean, is it possible that Valve will release a game with a 3 in it? Yes. But is it likely?

user15026
One correct answer.

@AshleyNunn What is correct?

You're taking it to the extreme; you could also say that game rec is subjective, so all subjective is bad, therefore any questions that are not 100% objective are bad

Correct now, correct for the next two weeks, for the next year?
@NickT Not really, no.

user15026
1:18 AM
shrugs Just my thought on the matter. I don't like game-recs. I don't think we are here to be like "here's a long list of things you should play"

@AshleyNunn I don't like them either.

How is the "how can I find free games on the Wii" a rec

user15026
@NickT That's not what I am saying at all, actually.

It dumps someone to some source then it's their choice, and our hands-off

user15026
@NickT I read it as "find me free things on the Wii"

1:19 AM
@NickT It's asking for free games on the Wii.

@NickT It's not. But "are there free games on the Wii" is.

@LessPop_MoreFizz a bad question that is easily fixed into the right one without closing

The intent of the question is to find free games on the Wii. You can't get around that.
Someone could answer with a single game and it'd be a correct answer.

What's wrong with finding free games for the Wii

@NickT We've had a year of debating that over and over and over again.
I'm not going to to it with you.

1:20 AM
This isn't about the list of games so much as how to find that list

user15026
Nothing wrong with finding them, but asking us to find them for you? That's a problem.

We're helping someone to fish, not giving them a fish that they don't like, because they really wanted tuna, not salmon

We've had similar debates about List of X questions.

user15026
I never read the question that way

See, for example, this

1:22 AM
Yes, a list of edible fish species is bad, but why is a question about how to find edible fish bad?

Q: Re-evaluating our site - what is the scope of an "acceptable" list, if it exists?

Grace NoteWe have a lot of open discussions on the subject of list questions - at least five of them. One conclusion I can draw from analyzing them is that we don't have a conclusion. There seems to be a faint consensus that there is an "acceptable" kind of list, at least within recommendations. But this c...

@NickT I've told you where to find your answer. By your reasoning, I shouldn't have to look for it for you, should I?

I sometimes wonder if we might not make our lives easier sometimes if we just redefined the scope of the site to only and exclusively handle gameplay questions

Boooooring

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz What would that exclude?

Hardware

1:24 AM
@AshleyNunn Identify this game, tech support, trivia, lore, shopping questions of varying sorts...

using the PS3/Xbox dashboard

You know what would make our lives easier? If people with the ability to cast votes like close actually bothered to read up on policy before simply voting with their own opinion.

I'd rather people try to fix broken questions before reaching for the close-vote
3

I don't think it's a good solution. but as a thought exercise, it's startling to realize just how many of our problems would be solved by it, and does a fairly good job of exposing what our problem spaces are.

I'd rather people try to fix policy before reaching for the re-open vote.

user15026
1:26 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz Ah, so most of the things we already don't like (minus itg, for some value of liking), and tech support (which I never quite understood why it was here, but at the same time, there's not a different place to put it).

If your vote goes against established consensus, you write a meta post. You don't cast votes.

@ArdaXi once you've mathematically defined the set of acceptable questions, sure.

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz It is definitely an interesting thought exercise.

@NickT If it works, there's nothing wrong with it.

@AshleyNunn I think ITG is worse than any of those other question categories, tbqh.

user15026
1:27 AM
@ArdaXi agreed.

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz Oh, I don't disagree.

@AshleyNunn Most tech support would probably be a better fit for Super User, but it's a fine line and they've banished all Gaming questions, so here we are.

user15026
@ArdaXi Interesting that they banished Gaming questions. Is that because we exist?

23
Q: Are video game questions appropriate for superuser?

bpapaOr is it time to create another site? questions could be general discussion or tips/tricks

No, actually, it's a policy they've had way before this site even existed.

user15026
1:29 AM
@ArdaXi Hm. Fascinating.

@ArdaXi console hardware support should be here... PC is a muddy area.

@NickT Exactly.
FYI, 2009 was before 2010.

Not sure how that dates to s.tk/gaming

@NickT private beta started on 2010-07-07 (one of the benefits of being user #29)

Are there actually any timed SWTOR quests? It's asinine when they're like "DO IT RIGHT NOW OR IT'LL BLOW UP" and you can just do whatever else
Hell, WoW has timed quests in the newbie zones

Well, at least I can sleep soundly knowing you only thought I was wrong because you're not actually comprehending what I'm saying.

And I can understand that you have no idea what sarcasm is

I understand that you're sarcastic.
However, I'm referring to your understanding of what I said that prompted it.

@ArdaXi no, he's not! </sarcasm>

sighs I sometimes forget to tone myself down to my audience.

You realize that your argument was pretty poor last time anyways, the "off-topic" was a better argument
or at least one more people agreed with

@NickT Yes, there are some.

@NickT I realise that I might not be able to explain myself very well at 2 am. That's why I referred to meta on several occasions in the first place.
That you think the whole "teach a man to fish" applies to everyone but yourself is not my problem.

@LessPopMoreFizz so what is the optimal shadow DPS rotation? Double strike, double strike, double strike, double strike, double strike....

If you're too lazy to get your own food you can hardly complain about what you're served.

I'm not going to teach you to argue when you think you're better at it than I am because you took some class

@NickT I don't think I'm better at it than you.

@ArdaXi some people aren't as good in writing as you are.

However, you tell me I'm bad at it without showing me why.
It gets old after a while.

But your arguments need to make sense, and when I ask you to elaborate on some of them you just quit

1:43 AM
@NickT No. I tell you where you can find much better explanations than mine.
You then refuse to do so.

@NickT While that's not terrible at low levels... what spec?

they don't even apply half the time
tank

@NickT Again with the baseless accusations.

Huh. Interesting. I earned a hat in TF2 by earning a certain achievement in Spiral Knights.

@John snowball achievement?

@alexanderpas No, the "Mission Accomplished" one.

@NickT When you can't argue against me any more, your only recourse seems to be "You're wrong because I say so."

@ArdaXi agree to disagree?

@NickT Force breach on CD, use your various throws to keep buffs up, Double Strike as filler if you have force, Saber Strike if you don't.

sorry, linking me to a wall of text where I have to fish through it to find some idea which doesn't directly relate to your idea doesn't work well

@ArdaXi There's a point where arguing against you is like talking to a brick wall and it isn't worth bothering anymore.

1:46 AM
@NickT Well, then I re-iterate my point. If you're too lazy to get your own food, don't complain about what you get.

Q: Does "Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition" also contain the original SSF4?

Denilson SáI just got Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition on PC (note: not to be confused with Street Fighter IV, which is a different game). Q: Why is there a whole lotta shakin' goin' on in Alderaan?

LessPop_MoreFizzSo, it was my understanding that within the Star Wars timeline, we're still many centuries away from this: So then why, ...

usually the post doesn't even relate to the point we're talking about and you don't elaborate on how you're using that argument

@FallenAngelEyes, did you get anno 2070 recently? how are you liking it?

@NickT Those posts on meta hold more value than my opinion does. If I'm interpreting them wrongly, then explain that to me.

@agent86 I did, I picked up the Collector's Edition yesterday

1:47 AM
"x should be closed because it's a y, this post says why y is bad" but you don't elaborate on how x is y when it's totally vague

@NickT Look, this is the third time where it's taken you... what, an hour? to tell me that.
Tell me when you think you're capable of thinking of these things while actually in the discussion, and we'll try again, okay?

Had to drive to The Hague to pick it up, as it's apparently impossible to order or find anymore and the store there had 1 copy left in stock

@NickT more specific: we know y is bad, but why is x a case of y

@FallenAngelEyes yikes! I guess that's what you get for wanting the collector's edition :P
was there something awesome with it?

@alexanderpas ?

1:49 AM
@NickT That said, I don't have too much experience with the force classes yet. Highest level I have is an Operative in the 30's.

@agent86 2 soundtracks, one for the Eco faction, one for the Tycoons, a poster, nifty box, and 150+ page artbook

user15026
I keep hearing Anno 2070 being mentioned, and I still have no idea what sort of game it is XD

and the store gave me the Deluxe DLC codes too

user15026
@FallenAngelEyes That sounds pretty awesome

@AshleyNunn City building/economic simulation

1:51 AM
@ArdaXi so now I'm supposed to help you argue better?

From what I know of your taste so far, I'm not sure it'd be up your alley

user15026
@FallenAngelEyes Nifty

@AshleyNunn I loves me some artbooks

user15026
@FallenAngelEyes Probably not. XD I will stick with Super Mario XD

I might get Ano 2070 for my birthday...

1:51 AM
@NickT I don't understand how you could have possibly read that in what I said, but... no.

user15026
@FallenAngelEyes I always find them fascinating. :)

@FallenAngelEyes sweet, sounds good. I'm just happy it's on steam, which makes it somewhat likely that I'll get a good deal someday.

@NickT I want you to actually argue against me instead of telling me I'm wrong.

@ArdaXi ask the right questions ;)

user15026
@agent86 Eventually, your day will come. :)

1:53 AM
@agent86 Anyway, gameplay formula hasn't changed much from 1404, which I don't consider a bad thing. Also, the online stuff is actually pretty neat.

@alexanderpas @NickT I don't know if the issue is with you, or me, and frankly I don't care, but I'm done with arguing against you.

Like the Senate/President voting which has an impact on your game, World Events, and even Daily quests
Graphically, it's still pretty stunning and building underwater is cool

@ArdaXi both.

@agent86 I was really surprised there was no xmas sale for it, seeing as it came out the same time as Skyrim and SR3, both of which had deals :/

@FallenAngelEyes publisher didn't care

user15026
1:55 AM
@FallenAngelEyes That's kinda neat. So online voting for people effects your game?

@AshleyNunn Yeah, everyone can vote for stuff and whichever bonus wins affects all players.

@NickT hehe... ubisoft...

This question will give you an idea
2
Q: How often do Senate and World Council votes occur?

FallenAngelEyesOn the main screen, there's options to vote for the Senate and the World Council, which the game says will globally affect players. user15026
@FallenAngelEyes That is incredibly cool. :)

@AshleyNunn Yeah, they didn't have this in 1404, at least not in the base game (I haven't really checked out its expansion, Venice). It works better in this setting because it's modern/futuristic, so you can get away with those sorts of tech things. All the other games were set in the past, so that wouldn't have worked as well.

user15026
1:57 AM
@FallenAngelEyes Yeah I can see how that would've required a certain suspension of belief. XD

@FallenAngelEyes yeah, I was hoping there'd be something, or I'd luck into a ubisoft coupon or something. They seem relatively rare.

@agent86 This is probably because Ubisoft sucks.

@FallenAngelEyes you'll get no disagreement from me :P

more or less than EA

@NickT Tough call. Ubisoft's DRM is pretty nasty.
@agent86 Oh, random thing you may like, the game doesn't auto-rearrange your layout in between campaign missions anymore, it lets you keep your own design.

user15026
2:00 AM
The only thing I don't like about the Telltale complete pack I bought is that not a single game has achievements. :(

@AshleyNunn Except Puzzle Agent 2, but that may not be in it.
(because it's a newer title)

@NickT EA is more... personal in it's malice. They tend to fuck over individual customers, even if they do so en masse. Ubi, by contrast, tends to be more about creating explicitly hostile systems and forcing you to cope.

user15026
I mean blahblah playing video games is fun, but I want to feel special and accomplished and get meaningless rewards!

Wait a sec, doesn't Telltale Complete Pack include Poker Night at the Inventory?

@LessPop_MoreFizz This is a good way to put it.

2:01 AM
Yeah, no cheevos in SWTOR, whats up with that

Poker Night not only has achievements, but 4 of them give you TF2 items.

@NickT Codex entries.

@LessPop_MoreFizz And titles!

not quite the same
can you link codex entries?

user15026
@Powerlord It has Puzzle Agent, but not Poker (It has Telltale Texas Holdem, which I think is different)?

2:02 AM
Anyway, I need to tear myself away from Anno now and go to bed. >_> Have a good night everyone.

user15026
good night!

@AshleyNunn Yeah, it is different.

user15026
@Powerlord I mean Puzzle Agent 2. It has both of them, actually. :D

user15026
@Powerlord is educated

But yeah, most of Telltale's games are good. Jurassic Park has kinda been a letdown.
Back to the Future was... easier than most of their games up to that point.

user15026
2:03 AM
@Powerlord Good to know. I've been playing Wallace and Gromit today. It's pretty fun. :)

The Sam and Max series is different, simply because the logic is uses is more cartoon logic than anything else.
Tales of Monkey Island is probably more fun if you've played the other 4 Monkey Island games (and know what's going on).

user15026
@Powerlord Well, I've always been told I don't use regular logic, so that might be good XD

Like Curse of Monkey Island, Tales starts off at the end of an adventure (starting a new one)

user15026
@Powerlord I haven't, but I know a bit about them.

@AshleyNunn That's a shame. Some of them are quite good (don't ask about Escape from Monkey Island...)

user15026
2:06 AM
@Powerlord They were mostly off my radar (seriously, I've only been playing non-Nintendo stuff for like...4 years or so?) - they always sound fun though.

@NickT You can't link shit in TOR because the UI is garbage.

Q: What are augments?

Raven DreamerI was sitting in the Imperial Fleet trying to get into a flashpoint, and I decided to do what a sith does best - order other people around! Specifically, I told my minion Khem Val to synth me some pants. Three minutes later, he comes back with this huge grin on his face, and presents me with two...

@AshleyNunn achievements FTW. I get a lot more play out of a game that has achievements, it makes the stupid goals a little more pride-worthy

@LessPop_MoreFizz true true

@FallenAngelEyes that's cool, so if you carry the same islands over, they don't just give you a "stock" layout in between missions? that was rather annoying before.

user15026
2:08 AM
@agent86 That's it exactly! I mean if I waste forever playing jetpack joyride (and I so have), getting achievement makes me happy, because I can be like I DID A THING.

the feel you get when you've completed all achievements in a game... wonderfull!! (spacechem)

user15026
Wow. Every time I try to look up something for SWTOR, it is like...I know these are words and I should understand them but mostly I am just like puts pants on head and hums

@AshleyNunn I do, however, realize that it's just a silly number, just like so many other silly numbers I keep track of and preen about ;)

user15026
@alexanderpas That pretty much sums it up

user15026
@agent86 Numbers are important! I like numbers!
5

2:10 AM
it does make me sad that steam doesn't keep track of all of it across all games like the xbox does. looking at some big number on my xbox makes me feel awesome sometimes

user15026
@agent86 My number isn't huge (I don't play a lot of console, except the Wii...I play way more handheld) but I am like LOOK I HAVE PROOF THAT I DID SOME COOL STUFF

user15026
and I like that.

user15026
...sometimes the things that I say get starred and they make me sound like a complete and utter featherbrained dunderhead. XD
5

user15026
......yeah, exactly like that. XD

@AshleyNunn Now you know how @gnomeslice feels.

user15026
2:15 AM
@Wipqozn Hurray for me! XD

SWTOR's codex is, by far, the buggiest part of the game.

in Tavern on the Meta on Meta Stack Overflow Chat, Nov 15 '10 at 18:48, by Yi Jiang
@radp Let's star it, because that's what starring is for - to take otherwise normal messages out of context and make them funny
2

Lore and Bestiary being the buggiest parts.

user15026
@YiJiang Well, that clears that up, then. ;)

Fun fact, you can't complete lore on the Sith starting planet despite it working in Beta.

Q: How do I get the Korriban title?

PowerlordAccording to my Codex, I'm missing an "Achievement: Title" for Korriban. I thought I had done everything on the planet. What is this title and how do I earn it?

2:22 AM

@NickT The best part is if you listen to the commentary for that.

@Powerlord I'll see that and raise you Crew skills.
My Imperial Agent has 4 crew skills atm.
I've inherited Archaeology from my Jedi Shadow

that all work?

@NickT I can loot nodes with Archie.

Apparently Joss's son came up with that line. He was born in 2002, and Dr. Horrible was made in... 2008?

2:25 AM
@Powerlord uhmmm...

Q: Are there any differences between Mario and Luigi?

WipqoznAfter beating the castle of Special World 1 you unlock Luigi as a playable character. I played as him for a bit but I didn't notice any game play differences between Mario and Luigi. I remember in Super Mario Galaxy that Luigi could jump further, but he took longer to stop. Are there any differ...

Q: When do new gratitude crystal quests appear?

splattered bitsI'm tired of running around Skyloft every time I return from the surface or accomplish something elsewhere to look for new quests to earn gratitude crystals. At which points in the game do each of the side quests unlock? I don't want to know what the quests are, just when I should go looking.

Q: What happened to the playstation mini offer?

ChristopherA while ago (I think it was Christmas day) I purchased a special offer from the Playstation market that allowed me to purchase 5 mini's for about $5. I downloaded my first three games and it told me to return to that page to allow me to download the other two. It was late so I went to bed. The ...

From pressing the 'Quit Game' button in SWTOR to desktop, elapsed time: 5 minutes, 34 seconds.
What. the. fuck.

There an "assist" button in SWTOR like F in WOW?
or at least ToT?

@NickT Yes, and yes. There's also focus.

Ok, anyone want to do multiplayer terraria?
A friend set up a server.

2:39 AM
Don't remember the default binds, but you should be able to see/set them in prefs.

don't see ToT in menu

set focus must be done through keybind, there's no /focus.
@NickT Let me double check when I log back in in 5 minutes.

want me to ask Q? lol
all these stupid little things that don't work like WoW drive me nuts

user15026
@NickT WoW has had a lot of time to figure everything out though.

user15026
Argh. All the Telltale games have loooong titles.

Q: Best Game Exchange Service

Q: How do I make sure all the Teen Girl Squad girls die?

Ashley NunnI am playing Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, and have the option of playing a Teen Girl Squad mini-game. I know I have to set up the story the right way, using object at the right times so that all the girls die gristly deaths, but I am having trouble figuring out the order of thin...

@NickT acquire targets target. Alt+T by default.

Shadow tank still wants willpower, not str?

I'm doing my final purchases before I put my wallet away for the next Steam sale (ignored everyone until this year... and spent more than I should have...) Anyway, I was wondering if people think it is worth having Civilization 3 with the fact 4 and 5 are out? It is only £1.49 and considering it!... Is there anything the older ones are better at?

Yea, willpower is king.
Civ III Had some cool mods IIRC.

@LessPop_MoreFizz It's only £1.49... I'll just get it! Thanks
