@AshleyNunn Yeah, they didn't have this in 1404, at least not in the base game (I haven't really checked out its expansion, Venice). It works better in this setting because it's modern/futuristic, so you can get away with those sorts of tech things. All the other games were set in the past, so that wouldn't have worked as well.

@NickT EA is more... personal in it's malice. They tend to fuck over individual customers, even if they do so en masse. Ubi, by contrast, tends to be more about creating explicitly hostile systems and forcing you to cope.

The Sam and Max series is different, simply because the logic is uses is more cartoon logic than anything else.

Tales of Monkey Island is probably more fun if you've played the other 4 Monkey Island games (and know what's going on).
