I've started my own Team Fortress server and it's been very quiet Are bots helpful or unhelpful in this situation? Most players don't seem to like playing with bots (even if it's just until the server fills) but leaving the server empty seems like an even worse idea.
Protip, if you want to discuss about something at length (= after the 5th reply, e.g.) bring it to chat. I for one hat having arguments in the comments area with a passion, especially because of the comment collapsing mechanism which drowns out either part of the argument.

Speaking of TF2 servers (and the event I have starting in 20 minutes)...
I just found out that our other admin, the guy who runs TF2Stats, has been running TF2Stats FROM OUR GAME SERVER for the last few months.
All those weird lag spikes we've been seeing suddenly make sense. And, of course, this means that, TF2Stats having an April Fools thing today, the site got something like 12k hits more than normal today.

I have just downloaded the demo of Dungeons and am on the level where you first capture a pentagram and then have to kill heros to get soul power. It then asks me to extend my area of influence by building pentagrams, but I have no idea how.

The description is "Get really close to a monster". But apparently I suck at playing chicken, because I die instead of earning the achievement.
What qualifies as "really close" for this? Are there any hints as to how to achieve it?
I am at the beginning of Fallout New Vegas and I am being attacked for apparently no reason by NCR rangers. I am waring a Leather Armor (not linked to any faction) so I don't understand how to make them stop (except from killing them in return, of course...).

the "5 times the energy" implies that the solder and silicon are near-perfectly insulated from each other and/or the overheating occurs extremely fast, and that both the solder and silicon chip are dissipating the same amount of energy
I dunno, all I can find on this are online forum posts and they could just be describing joint fractures. Some of them appear to fix it by reflowing some BGA, which would cause extreme problems if it got up to 200°C+ (solder melting) while operating
don't have a console, never really researched failure modes on them
the only places I could imagine parts actually falling off the board would be diodes or power resistors, but those are fairly trivial to determine the thermal characteristics of, so the only reason they should get up to 200+ is if there's some HW fault

For the last few weeks Civilisation V always generates the same kind of boring map: flat land, very few mountains, most of the land desert or tundra. Is there anything that could have caused this? I have not installed any mods or modified the game in any way.
There's really no reason to shop there unless you are from the UK or some place where games are way too expensive locally. I fall in the latter category.
