@IvoFlipse Kiting only works if the enemy player doesn't step in and stop it... and if you're playing against computers, even the AI might be smart enough to do that from time to time.

Probably like an hour and a half, since I had to replay some to get gold.
The new achievements were rather silly too...but worth 90 additional Gamer Score, so.
lmao, well the tire issue at least isn't a problem in this game, at least. :P I actually get annoyed when playing as a cop and the police helicopter totally misses the racer and drops the spike strip right in front of me.

You start 1st, get perfect start, and by the time you reach the first corner all other cars have overtaken you, and at that point nothing really matters anymore
Maybe somebody rams full speed into a wall while you manage not to (not like the Supra can really brake, mind you) and maybe you can sneak yourself in third to last (typically two people fighting to death for that precious 6th place)
and those two keep fighting for the now 7th position and keep slowing themselves down
Gah, I still need to get update that NFS:HP car size vs. damage answer...I need to find one of my friends who has the game so I can see if I can measure it in a reliable way. :/
@TimStone Of course! With however many boost points you can buy cars regardless of level restrictions (then they have better base stats then cars bought with ingame money) and buy packs of cards; the more you pay on a pack, the better the cards are
You can also buy a pack of cards with ingame money
but it's a very basic one (only slightly better than what you'd get from winning one race), and it costs $50k
@TimStone Well, I get like 1k from races currently because tier 2 cars have better base rewards
and in the newly released team escape events (where there's no arrive order), I can get actual rewards (although 3.5k$/8 mins isn't a really awesome rate)
Though probably first I'm going to jump back into Mass Effect, since I finished the second one too early for the DLC to be available...I've been worried about it suddenly consuming 30 hours of my life again. >_>
The powerups in the screenshots are, clockwise order: jaggernaut, team slingshot, team emergency escape (team= affect all in the event; emergency escape= shove all nearby police cars away) and regular slingshot (increase your acceleration and top speed the more the farther away you are from the lead)
The bad news? Booster is a powerup.
I'm not kidding...
Oh, and there's no time slowing mechanism obviously.
Finally, I'd like to point out another annoyance that other NFS games lack: that blue meter below the RPM counter
