I just got my hands on a few DVDs, I got Sims 3, World Adventures and Late Night. I never played before sims 3, but I understand the last two are expansion packs. The question is: if I install all everything, will the content from both expansion packs be available simultaneously?

@Mana audio in is usually "line level" voltage. output from instruments isn't always that way

usually you'll want some piece in between to level out the sound, or it will either sound terrible or burn something

That said, just plugging it in will not blow anything up. Worst case scenario is it sounds like shit, so go ahead and give it a shot.

My father set all of this shit up at my place without me, so I don't actually know how it all works.

He's got the drums, keyboards, and synth all plugged into a mixer.

Basically a hub for all of the inputs and outputs.

With various adjustments.

So you'd plug the master output of the mixer into your computer, and then with software like Reaper, you'd select 'tracks' (mixer ports) to record from.

I.e. Port 1 could be your drum kit.

if you only record from a single device, software can do it too, but doesn't usually give the best results.
