The problem here is that these aren't babies who dropped sippy cups. These are (supposedly fully-functioning) adults who voted for a very specific thing: to leave the EU. This has consequences for both the EU and the UK. These consequences we are seeing today: 40bn lost in two days of stock market, AAA rating lost, RBS stopping their stock trade yesterday because they were losing too much. Other we'll see in the following months. My favourite is the fact that the UK must re-negotiate trade agreements with all EU countries individually.
We teach our children to be accountable for their actions and responsible for the consequences of these actions. Why not expect the same from our adults? Wanna be on your own? Be on your own.
They voted for this. Their fear is their fault. No mercy.
Until last week we, the other EU nationals, were accused of stealing money from the NHS, letting all the terrorists into the UK, forcing the UK to follow regulations it doesn't want to follow. Why should we have mercy for them now?
Ah dammit, I promised myself I wouldn't discuss this on SE chat. :)
To make matters worse now the Leave politicians either disappeared or are taking back all of their campaign promises. I would expect Brits to roam the streets with torches and pitchforks. Is this the case? Frankly I don't know because our newspapers aren't really covering this properly.

@JoErNanO Not all of us in the UK think the same as Farage & co you know!
My personal belief is that the only way to solve this whole thing is with a rapid, wholesale reform of the EU - followed by another referendum or general election in the UK
Otherwise the whole EU will collapse - and looking at the poll results, I wouldn't be surprised if France was next...
From what I can tell from the media, a huge proportion of the people who voted 'leave' did so through dissolusionment with the political elite - and we're seeing that across Europe, hence the rise of right-wing, nationalist and eurosceptic parties everywhere

looking sideways at a whole page of politics talk

@NickC I know I know. But since this is a democracy and the Leave won one can say that all of you in the UK think the same as Farage & co. :)
In theory when one side wins and the other loses it's also the losing side's fault for failing to explain their points to the electors. So the Remain politicians can be considered as "guilty" for this as the Leave ones.

Actually the real failure was letting something this important get reduced down to the single flip of a coin. Election theory is actually very interesting.

@JoErNanO OK
They are now a referendum democracy. Seems a strange animal. Never thunk I'd thee it.

@JoErNanO @BobCross My bad on bringing politics into the room. Not really trying to do that.

One of the things to remember in here is that we have people on every side of every issue that come to the site regularly. We are all welcome even if we disagree vehemently with each other in other settings. And, yes, I'm aware that all this inclusiveness is hard work. Tough.

@DucatiKiller Sorry for spurting out my anger this morning. I just can't stand liars and people who take no responsibility for their actions. /cc @BobCross

@DucatiKiller I found a 1998 R1 for 1000EUR. I am seriously thinking of splashing some cash on it so as to have a mule for the track. Forget about the Ducati man paying for it is like having two mortgages.

1:42 PM
@JoErNanO I certainly agree with the sentiment. This just isn't the place. Frankly, the best place is in the pub. :-)

I'm about to delete one of my favorite comments ever (it's no longer relevant now that obsolete comments are gone) and I want to preserve it for all time: "[person], are you asking if conservation of energy continues to apply?"
