Ironically, one of my Xmas presents was a big piece of cast iron for the back of the fireplace (AKA a fireback). So, that's about as close as someone can come to getting coal in their stocking in these modern days....
Yes, seven years is too long. I had heartburn from the last five year loan. I feel a little better now that I've had the car for twice the period of the loan....
@BobCross I financed my first car a few years out of high school. But the kept sending me a bill every month! I'd pay it and the next month they'd send me another bill. That crap got old, never again. I have paid cash for every car since.
