Oh my. Mandatory cyber security training is explaining bits and bytes to me. A brutal reminder that normal people really don't know what makes computers go.

It's amazing how highly you score on mandatory training modules while not learning anything though. Always fun to aim for 100% on a topic you know nothing about.

It's chilly enough here that my first left turn onto the main road gives me some front diff grumbling. "My tires are still cold, do we have to go to work now? Let's sit by the fire for a while first. Maybe a nice cup of tea and a nap?"

@Anarach One is petrol, other diesel?

3:30 PM
It would also be interesting to see the dyno plots and fuel efficiency numbers

3:47 PM
Think "can I jumpstart a cycle/lawn tractor/4 wheeler, etc with a car?" is a good question?

just saw this :-)

@RoryAlsop, that video makes me want a new WRX. Because then I would have two. :-)
I have had my winter tires on for weeks now. This winter has been super lame. Not even flurries yet.

7:42 PM
Snow last night lasted for about two hours. Temperature is dropping nicely tonight so I'm optimistic that this week will bring more. There was 7" of snow just an hours drive north in the highland

It's different at my altitude. I recently had to remind someone that we knew exactly what altitude one of our systems was at. "That there is the sea. That means it's at sea level. That's why we call it that." :-/

8:10 PM
Hahahaha - simplest descriptions are always best

@RoryAlsop - "Always fun to aim for 100% on a topic you know nothing about." I hope that was a tone of facetiousness I heard in your voice. ;-)
@BobCross - ^^ Does this make you want a Ford Escort? ^^ :P
@JPhi1618 - That is more of a "Should I jump a ..." than a "Can I..." ... Isn't it?
@BobCross - I bet your system is actually at least 30' above sealevel ... therefore it's not at sealevel, right?
Wouldn't sealevel be on the water? I mean, my home is about 300' ASL ... that's not ASL, but above it ... Finer details I tell you.
:D
BTW ... for anyone who cares, I'm about through with Movies.SE ... I'd feel free to tell anyone about it, but I know nobody would really want to listen (nobody in their right minds should listen to my ranting, so there you go.)

10:54 PM
@Paulster2 - sadly, some of the training modules (eg on Client Taxation, which I need to know nothing about) can be passed at 100% without knowing anything
@Paulster2 re movies, I gave up on it a while back, as too annoying

11:38 PM
@RoryAlsop - Movies.SE was how I got hooked on SE ... Unfortunately I see it going the way as many other SE's I have either heard of or seen personally ... We are supposed to be nice. We are supposed to ask/answer questions. Some SE's get holier than thou and forget the first rule. Movies is headed that way IMHO.
The SE's get self governed enough they become too big for their britches, then people start leaving. Then those that are left drive off new people who are only asking questions. ... yes, I'm a little jaded right now, but it's okay. I'll survive :P

11:56 PM
:-( I'd agree with that. Some are definitely less than friendly. I avoid them
