Every time I see waterbenders freezing/melting water I think of the ridiculous amount of heat that would give off/absorb, probably could heat the surrounding air to tens of thousands of degrees
at least in full metal alchemist they didn't use so many chemical changes

in one scene she freezes a couple tons of water, so that would kick off at least 334 MJ (per ton), so if heating a ton of air in turn that would up the temperature by ~334 K? but it probably would heat far less air than that, so there'd be a proportional increase in $\DeltaT$
