@Tashio That means you open up the four actions. It was either an Attack, Create Advantage, or Overcome. You take a look at what happens on ties/failures for that particular action they were doing.
So that's saying: if you tie as a defender and they were using the create advantage (CA) action, whatever happens for a tied CA happens. If you succeed at defence and they were using CA, whatever happens for a failed CA happens.
