@FaheemMitha @strugee @Gilles start of notes on LVM RAID install on Debian Wheezy. Or Jessie, so far steps are almost identical. docs.google.com/document/d/…

heh, cool, I can see you writing :P

lol, yep.
you should also be able to comment on things if you want

I think this duplicate is going the wrong way

I like etherpad

@Braiam yeah, that close doesn't make any sense

It's designed to be collaborative
And you don't have to sign in or anything. Just enter your name.

/me grumbles he shouldn't have picked standard system utilities in the installer. Taking longer...
This is definitely not fast. But I'm pretty sure that's due to the VM setup, not anything inherent in LVM-RAID.

This is a "used" pad. :-)
@derobert so, what do you think?

I think I just got a weird error from that grub install attempt. Wonder if grub in wheezy can boot this...

@derobert I meant about the etherpad thing. :-)
Amusing to see fragments of old conversations...

It's a little less polished than Google Docs.

Anyway off to sleep. Or to try. whatever
@derobert I guess.
Still, I like it. I'm not really a corporate person.

Anyway, I think I'm going home. This LVM-RAID rootfs on Wheezy attempt will wait until tomorrow. Got to see if its possible to boot it with wheezy's grub2.
Tomorrow will be time to read changelogs :-(

Does have all the menu stuff at the top. Wonder if it is hard.

grub-probe: info: unknown LVM type raid5 ... yeah, I bet that means I need a newer grub.
anyway, will look into it tomorrow

If one was using a etherpad service, one could do worse than titanpad.com/ep/about/about
