@jpmc26 I agree with your last sentence. With that input and followingthe discussion above:
Worst = leaving your highly upvoted wrong answer alone
Bad = editing the meaning of your answer
Ok = editing in a note saying your answer is wrong but leaving the content
Great = deleting the answer and posting a new, correct answer (if known)
The upside of option 3 over option 4 is that you get to keep the rep for the answer... the downside is you crowd out other answers which may actually be correct. That's why it's just "Ok"
