@koceeng As much as I understand editing posts for reputation and badges, please don't try to bump a handful of very old posts to the top. Personal opinion.

What exactly(software issues) causes the battery to drain completely and quickly.

I've tried half of last night to get some "recent" Android version to run in Virtualbox. Downloaded ISOs from Android-x86 between 5.1 and 7.0, read at least 10 howtos, but got none even to boot past Grub. Any clues? Running Virtualbox on Linux Mint 18.1. Increased RAM to 2G, video mem to 32M, CPU to dualcore. No way.
Tried normal mode and VESA, the VM gets stuck as soon as it tries to load the kernel. Tried to install, and it gets stuck at 0% of formatting the disk to ext4.

I have no idea. I've never tried running android-x86.

@DanHulme I've once successfully got some Android 4.x running (4.3 IIRC), but had no luck with newer versions – despite of having configured the VM exactly the same way. Nasty, as I wanted one for testing purposes. There are some apps I wouldn't like to install on my "real devices" ;)
