Request for help. Sold my Honor 6 . Moto X play is to be delivered tomorrow- comes with Lollipop but OTA available for MM. Planning to upgrade but need help from MM users- on Marshmallow can I copy downloaded files (mail attachments) to external SD without root. Rooting voids warranty so prefer not to but would if this key requirement demands

I think it's always the same: it depends on the location; internal or external

Oh, it's from internal... not sure if using adb backup is possible or not, not experience enough in this field.

Yeah, manual backup is certainly the safest way :)

sure it is..one more reason to root - but if i can move my downloaded files to ext SD, will postpone rooting atleast for a few months
