although a USB cable draws a max of 5v current when connected to charge the device but isn't there any application that measures the voltage it receives from the power source (i.e could be anything charger/USB)

Hello everyone,
I want to make a simple mobile app (either android or iOS platform) which is a simple map based navigator.The user will specify source and destination. Then, the app should be able to guide the user by telling him the direction from his given source to the destination. (e.g. go straight for 200 metres, then take a right, then.....etc.).

I don't have prior experience in mobile app development so I am open to learn either android or iOS. What I want to know (before I start building the app) from the experts in this field is, which platform offers more resources, flexibility a…

On Stack Overflow and our other code-related sites, creating a minimal, complete, and verifiable example is the best way to get an answer to your question. We’ve always loved JSFiddle and sites like it because they let both askers and answerers reference runnable, working code that demonstrates their problem or solution.

Unfortunately, the use of these external sites introduces a few problems:

If the link breaks, the post becomes worthless.

If the code isn’t embedded in the page, visitors are forced to go elsewhere to get the full content of the question or answer. …

How to check install date of an app?

It seems to be able to do just that.
But is there really no native way to do this in the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat?...
Why is app install date and time, or update install date and time so useless, or less useful than app version number or app size, that they decided not to implement this functionality?
It would be painfully simple to implement this, natively and directly under the Application Manager of Android. Yet, it can be very useful to have app install time information at hand when needed.
Let me guess, they decided it would be too overwhelming, too much information if they included install date and time? They didn't want to clutter the interface? No average Android user would even go into App Manager to begin with. But there should be a facility where you can get this information when needed, directly in the phone, with no need for third party apps or connecting the phone to a host computer to retrieve this information through the command line.
Useless...
Let's just hope they will include this in the final release of Android L.
