No one clear the stars on the above 2 messages

porque

They were part of a star spam attack

maybe somebody just thought it was really funny that rydwolf's game is janky

No it's the star spammer other rooms have been hit :p
Plus there were 20 stars
I cleaned it up
I've left the 2 for investigation purposes

i came here because i just got some badge about getting stars from 10 unique users and i think one of them was the spammer lmao

12:14 AM
amazing

@noodleman yeah the last 20 messages were starred lol

If any of y'all see star spam in any room, make a note of it asap so I can add it to the compilation with as accurate a time as I can
minus the compilation part
note any sussy users

minimum 5 rooms have been confirmed hit
with a few more I've seen

@lyxal just noticed it in tst

That's a new one

for (uint i = WIDTH; i>= 0; i--) Can you spot the WACKY BUG that I didn't..?

i >= 0?

🎉

Not again :(
@ATaco Star spam, left this one starred @lyxal

6:12 AM
@lyxal @ATaco I don't know the language in question. Can you explain?

6:27 AM
@emanresuA noted
In future, it's better to leave 2 for more signal info

7:00 AM
@Adám it's a general logic error
An off by one from using greater than equal instead of plain greater than

If I had a penny for every off by one error I'd have one too few pennies to buy anything useful

Is there a quick algorithm for adding two NDos numerals?
The algorithm I came up relies on subtraction, so

@ATaco that's why you want to use the --> operator ;-)

Q: Visually arrange multi-day events on a calendar

Nicola SapThe arrangement algorithm I think I've determined the algorithm that Google Calendar uses to visually arrange day-long and longer events at the top of the "Week" view (you may have an example here) and it seems to be: Sort all events by starting date (earlier first); if same starting date, sort ...

@lyxal oh, i thought the mistake was i >= 0 is always true because i is an uint

I mean, that's probably actually more likely
@ATaco is it the off by 1 error or the uint always being > 0 infinite loop?

Added a basic pistol to my game and a recoil animation and it's so satisfying

@RydwolfPrograms A lot of these things are fixed now at least. We got git switch instead of checkout. You can configure git to use ff-only.
@RydwolfPrograms @TheEmptyStringPhotographer This is why git isn't good

Like it's fun just to run around and hide in the trees and peek around crates and shoot a non-functioning pistol so that's a promising sign the actual game will be fun lol

4:00 PM
Just added a feature where holding shift makes you crouch. It makes your hitbox (for bullets/damage, not object collisions) 20% smaller, and halves your speed

4:34 PM
@RydwolfPrograms the animation is so nice

5:16 PM
I was on scratch then I looked at the console. A request to the server was responded to with the status code of
688!?!
A http status code of 688!?!
What the actual hell!?!
> Master Git turned and threw himself off the railing, falling to his death on the rocks below. Upon seeing this, the novice was enlightened.

git -h branch seems to open a pager while git branch -h and git branch --help do not. Odd

On the other hand, running git -h branch for me gives: unknown option: -h and the usage info.

5:32 PM
What's your git version?

> git version 2.34.1

I have 2.44. I built it from source because I need the auto remote

As far as I remember, it came pre-installed on my Linux Mint (and I installed it on December 2, 2022)

For some reason git versions take a very long time to get added to the package repositories

5:58 PM
I remember it being really difficult to make nice looking bullet trails, gonna try that now

6:20 PM
I think they look pretty good
Okay USB power delivery is so cool...the fact I can charge my laptop with my phone charger is so futuristic

7:01 PM
@mousetail For me (Git Bash and git version 2.44.0.windows.1), git -h branch and git branch --help open a help page in Chrome, while git branch -h prints a usage message on the command-line. o_o

Q: Tree with red |A| painted on trunk

User1974I saw some trees with red A’s painted on the trunks, with vertical lines (or 1’s) painted on each side of the A. Location: Crown land in eastern Ontario. What do those markings mean?

Ontario out here putting colorblindness tests on trees now
I can barely see the difference between the "red" (more like pink IMO) and the bark color
Wouldn't have been able to tell you what shape it was without the description in the question

7:36 PM
@DLosc Probably on windows the "pager" is actually opening the relevant page in the browser.

8:06 PM
Yeah, I'm not sure what you mean by "pager." But even if so, the behavior of git branch --help for me is the opposite of what you said.

2 hours later…
9:37 PM
@DLosc pager in the sense of the application deferred to by man pages for display--which i think is usually just less

10:03 PM
Oh, I see
