@hichris123 This is more plausible now that there are a lot more people with close vote privileges, but IMO the sandbox works better. The regular SE system is designed for genuine questions, not contests, and changing the rules of a contest after people have entered sometimes offends.

@m.buettner If sometime finds an optimal solution which runs in O(n^2) then it's publishable, and probably worth about 1/3 PhD. In that case, the fake Internet points are of minor consequence.

And I've added the controller program (and the benchmark file, but that's still a dummy, to be honest), in case you want to have a look.
