Morning all
@OddDev flagged it
@OddDev thanks for the answer. Gave you an upvote but I'd like to see if anyone else answers before I accept anything.

Yeah, leave it open for a while :) Maybe someone has some knowledge on the "what's worth eating"-part.

8:17 AM
Morning all :)

Hows the nose @M'vy? Any better?

@OddDev: Hello Mr. Asker of the month! :)

A: What technical reasons are there to have low maximum password lengths?

Tom LeekTake five chimpanzees. Put them in a big cage. Suspend some bananas from the roof of the cage. Provide the chimpanzees with a stepladder. BUT also add a proximity detector to the bananas, so that when a chimp goes near the banana, water hoses are triggered and the whole cage is thoroughly soaked....

double beared answer :)

8:43 AM
@WedaPashi how's it going hun?

@Aravona: Today is a busy day. Just had Lunch.
@M'vy: Why did the link I shared die?

@WedaPashi you copy paste twice
http://..../.../http://... /...
that has never been a valid URL :)

8:56 AM
Ahh
Thanks @M'vy :)
@Aravona: Hows the running thing going on?

@WedaPashi good! Because of weather / slippery muddy tracks / the cold I've dropped my evening runs to a distance which I can do steadily and am slowly but surely finding less and less tiring. My Sunday runs I'm doing almost 2km every time.

A: How to humanely kill an injured bird?

John FarnamLay it under the wheel of your car and drive slowly to hear the bird explode. Then get an outdoor broom and a dustpan to clean up the mess. Rain will clean any blood ect into the gutter

But I am also on day 3 of two workout challenges

Protected it now

@Liam yeah OddDeer noticed that this morning so I flagged.
Good idea!!

9:00 AM
@Aravona: Excellent. :)
@Liam: Morning mate.
@Aravona: Workout challenges?

@WedaPashi yeah like those 30 day challenges? Ones all sit ups, crunches etc with rest days every 4th day... The other is squats, lunges etc :) so far I'm feeling the burn with them lol.

@Liam lock it?
oh it's done :)

@WedaPashi they're for a bit of a laugh as my mate found a advent workout on Facebook lol... So you don't get too chubby for Christmas hah
Also as of this morning we're on 5.8 questions. This is ridiculous. It's winter, usually a crappy time for questions. I'm loving this :)

When I get home I'm going to write out a few more foraging ones :)

@M'vy If you're over x rep or a mod you can protect questions. Means you need x rep to post an answer. It's a mechanism to prevent people posting crap without spending at leats some time getting some rep
@M'vy Basically stops the issue above
@M'vy sorry I've just relaised you knew what I meant... :)

yeah. well.

9:10 AM
@Liam lol!
@Liam how was your week off btw?!

@Liam: hehe
@Aravona: Yeah, sounds exciting. A few more questions from me too.
I've already asked 104 :D

@WedaPashi lol wow. I'm on like 29..30?

@Aravona: But, you have great questions. So..

35 currently :)

@WedaPashi haha some. I think my best one was pitching a tent in the rain

9:16 AM
@OddDev: You are doing great. Simply great. Keep up!
@Aravona: So far, my best one was the Cattle one, in terms of votes

@WedaPashi haha yeah lol was a good one.

@Aravona nice thank you lovely beaches

13 rep left and I'm officially no longer a Stackoverflow but a TGO user :P

9:45 AM
@Liam awesome, glad to hear it :)
I've realised when we graduate as a site I'll probably lose half my rep powers lol... 4.5k is really not much on graduated sites :(

@Aravona I'm not sure how that works?
You can always run for mod election!

10:05 AM
@Liam well the graduated sites have higher rep requirements for a lot of what I can do, lol, so I just assume I'll loose it!
I'm not sure I'd make a good mod.

10:28 AM
I feel like that this answer is not what I was asking for... What can I do? http://outdoors.stackexchange.com/a/10069/8060
Would love to give Captain a "rep boost" but he just answered the "why you shouldn't touch it" instead of "what to do if you've touched it".

@OddDev Exlain why you think it's wrong
@OddDev You can always downvote, if it's wrong it's wrong
@OddDev I've edited, I think the title is a little misleading

Thanks ... Done

10:52 AM
@OddDev his answers actually pretty good. I've added a comment.
If you've already touched the animal the damage, if any, is already done and you shouldn't do more. Most times doing more is the worst thing you can do. Not touching in the first place is obviously the best idea.
I've never seen a fawn in my area, you can find the rutting deer yeah or the odd deer if you're quiet, but the fawns are usually snuggled under holy bushes. You'd be hard done by to reach them lol

Thanks Ara :) But what I want to hear in his answer is:
If the fawn has already been "handled", wipe the fawn off with a clean towel rubbed with dirt, put on a clean pair of gloves, and return the fawn to the site of origin.
From here:

@OddDev then self write an answer. Don't force him to change his because you disagree with it?

Hm, okay... If you think so... But I use his references.

@OddDev the references exist and he has said he won't change his answer? Regardless that information depends on a lot of factors. Like you having gloves and a clean towel with you on a hike... Which whilst possible at that point probably no longer be clean, they'd be used. That information sounds much more like what a wildlife worker would need not the average joe.
I would honestly one, teach my 'daughter' about the outdoor world and be a responsible parent and keep an eye on her, so that this situation doesn't occur and two, if you've already touched it, like in a more sensible situation like it's trapped in a wire fence but not hurt, clean your hands and put mud on them first to reduce risk.

11:13 AM
@OddDev I don't any problem in you saying "x person pointed me in the right direction. His reference says...blah"

@Liam yup @OddDev we get that loads it's no issue.

@OddDev If you want to be magnanimous flag it as a wiki

Yup I'd definitely never be a good mod. I'm too easy to push buttons for lol
@Liam do you use the CSLA.NET Framework?

11:48 AM
@OddDev better with the wildlife rescue paragraph :)

2 hours later…

@OddDev love the historical sites question. Just updated my answer.

1:58 PM
Busy day :(

1 hour later…
3:08 PM
@Aravona I'll leave it open for a while... Maybe someone will share additional knowledge :) Cool answer btw

3:19 PM
@OddDev no worries. It doesn't cover all of Europe either. There's about half a dozen hill forts near where I live :)

@OddDev like I say in my comment access is really, really complicated. It's hard to do a blanket answer.
@OddDev the war graves bit was quite interesting from where I was in northumberland last week
There were a number of B52 bombers in the hills (major WWII air field near by)
So you shouldn't remove any part of the wreckage, etc

Holy Crap to how bad UPS are.

3:36 PM
@Aravona ??

@Liam we had amazon prime next day delivery on an item. Customs stopped said item in a random search, fair enough... Then we got told it'd come tomorrow... Again fine. Got told via email it's be delivered to a depot and not our house and we have to go pick it up... So contacted Amazon, who got told it's somewhere else ans have demandes UPS deliver it on time to our house tomorrow... And have launched an investigation...
Into why UPS lied to Amazon and why it didn't come directly to the delivery address.
They didn't even try it went straight to depot.
And many typos but I'm on a mobile so bear with them lol
6.1 questions a day

3:54 PM
@Aravona I had a delivery issue with DPS and I rang amazon and they went, hold on, rang DPS while I was on the phone and told them to deliver it ASAP
@Aravona suppose their custom is worth a lot!

@Liam yeah no blame for Amazon they're doing amazing. It's UPS who are a bit wtf?!
Especially as we have Prime and it was supposed to arrive on Monday...
