@KRyan this comes across as describing specific users, and thus it looks like a question of "how would you deal with these specific individuals I haven't named but have strongly alluded to"

it's dragging someone into a potentially deeply personal issue and i would be very uncomfortable being made to answer that if i were a nominee. heck, my response would probably be to decline to answer the question and state these reasons.

it's an extremely vague question capturing (vaguely) a lot of kinds of behaviour, some of which are actually really helpful, but you ask the question having already supposed that all of this behaviour is bad and those users have fervor at all, and that it needs toning down.

it being a deeply personal matter also means you're dragging part of the theme of an election into your personal issues with certain users.

overall it's not appropriate for an election question. all of the above could be a mistaken interpretation, but there is my critique on it.
