Q: Which behavior, in the evolution of human species, came first: organized sports or organized religion?

RodrigoIn Brazil, and I believe that also in other countries, people will change their religion, but won't change their sports team. Would it have any root in biology? Perhaps because sports represent a much older feeling than organized religion? Or because sports is less necessary for survival? Where ...

@StevenJeuris Do people become that insignificant when they are not first author?
I think I found a solution with my intro and RW, btw, so no need to read it again. Going to hand it in in another hour or so

@RobinKramer No, but it can become very unclear to which degree they contributed to the paper.
@RobinKramer Congrats! :)

11:18 AM
@StevenJeuris Thank you. Now I can finally focus on more important stuff, like closing bad questions [[insert devil emoticon here]]

11:44 AM
@RobinKramer Or adding a proposal on Meta. ;p
So that we have a new close reason and can close even more! :)
I'm still not fully decided by the way whether we should go to step 3 without attracting proposals for the other two issues as well.
They are easier though, so we could do them more rapidly once we have a bigger community that has decided on question expertise.
We should also start setting a date for a group chat when we will decide on these issues.
(based on a period of voting on the suggestions which we are accumulating now)

12:11 PM
@StevenJeuris I think we should. But, before we call in the masses we should have some ideas ready for them
Probably we should get the members that already active here asap to come up with these ideas. E.g. @Seanny123 @Christiaan @Krysta @ChristianHummeluhr @JeromyAnglim .

12:42 PM
@StevenJeuris Done. It's my former proposal (I linked to it), but refined it again. Hope this is the perfect solution

@StevenJeuris I made the proposal a bit more concrete, as you suggested. However, as argued over there, quality is per definition subjective.
I do have an idea but I doubt it is possible. What if, at the ask question page, we use three input fields: one for relevance, one for research, one for the question?
Or, add a complementary text in the textbox, similar as in the title box
In other words, move/copy the "how to ask" to the input box

2:37 PM
Doubt that's possible. ;p

3:19 PM
But we can say "what's your cogsci question" and "at least one tag"

4:16 PM
@RobinKramer What do you mean?

4:35 PM
@StevenJeuris we do have personalized messages in the title- and tag field. Why wouldn't we be able to add one in the question field

4:55 PM
@RobinKramer They are templated, and the same across all networks afaik.
'SITE NAME' is simply filled in.
However, for cross validated it is 'statistics': stats.stackexchange.com
Maybe something that is set up when a site graduates.
