@belisarius I am the beneficiary of that, out of the five questions I've asked on Unix & Linux StackExchange I got the famous question badge for three of them. They have 7, 10 and 25 votes respectively :P
Their calculator for how many people I have "reached" tells me that through those five questions I've reached 109k people, whereas through my four hundred answers here I have only reached 175k.

A: Why is the first argument of the SetDelayed evaluated?

SzabolcsAnother answer to What useful purpose does it serve that SetDelayed evaluates its first argument? is that it's convenient with patterns and optional arguments. Is there a simple way to make the bars of the BarChart start from the bottom of the figure rather than from 0? Ultimately I just want a histogram of two quantities, put the bars side by side instead of on top of each other (regardless of that being considered bad practice), and have a logarithmic vertical axis (consider that the logarithm may be negative)
It's ending up being a lot of code. There has to be a simple way!

@William if you are on Linux, the command line 'tail' can select n lines from the end. It can be accessed via Mathematica using the ReadList[... command. A quick google suggests there is a [Windows equivalent] (stackoverflow.com/questions/187587/…)

Is there a way to call a RunProcess[cmd] and pipe the command's output to a file within RunProcess? Something like RunProcess[{"date", " > out.dat"}] won't produce an output, no matter how I combine the arguments...
