@kirma Yes, at least since V9. I remember being surprised when I discovered it. (It is the standard iterator form, but I don't think there are any examples in the docs.)
I think that LaTeX doesn't work on comments. I have made a few tests and I don't see it happening. LaTeX works fine on answers and questions, so I don't think it is a problem with my browser.
So, two questions:
1) Is LaTeX disabled on comments?
2) If it is disabled, why? I think it is incosist...
@xslittlegrass J/Link does not handle Javascript directly, but it is possible to evaluate Javascript code through Java (and thus J/Link). For an example, look for the word Javascript in the post (18572).
I've that mechanism successfully with showdownjs to convert markdown to HTML.
@blochwave thank you. I had looked at this before because I was wondering if one can embed code into a TIFF that was used for generating that image. But in fact there is not enough space in 10,000 characters to do it. It seems the TIFF import/export was changed in version 10.
I always used ge.tt for sharing simple things. Szabolcs's suggestion originally. Otherwise you could set up a github account but it is not meant for storing large binaries
@JacobAkkerboom, are you still working on a package manager? My interest in helping out with such a project is currently trending upward, and I'd love to chat about that.
(Or I'd love to talk to anyone else working on a Mathematica package manager, for that matter.)
