@rhermans Great work!!Could you share your solution at Meta in future?

Hi,everyone~There is a ugly code.
Any elegant method can do same thing?
{{10, 6}, {7, 2}} // Apply[Subtract] // Apply[Divide]

9:23 AM
@yode method the same but better look: Divide @@ Subtract @@ {{10, 6}, {7, 2}}

11:25 AM
EmitSound@Play[Sin[1000 t^2], {t, 0, 1}]
example from documentation doesn't quite work.

@yode This looks more like Mathematica: {{10, 6}, {7, 2}} // Inner[ Subtract, Sequence @@ #, Divide ] & :)

12:27 PM
@Kuba That work well here.

I wish there was a way to save my choice for enabling dynamics on notebooks I open frequently.

1:24 PM
@MichaelHale
CurrentValue[$FrontEnd, DynamicUpdating] = True

@yode Thanks. You are suggesting putting that in init.m? That will enable it for all files yes? I understand the security concerns of wanting to ask people for notebooks they download etc, but I just want it to remember the choice for certain notebooks.
Maybe there is a way to modify that so it just applies to certain notebooks though.

@MichaelHale It's serve a certain notebook

@yode Yes, can you enable it for a notebook before the notebook is opened though? I'm investigating.

I don't know how to,but I think that is a problem can be solved still.:)

1:43 PM
@MichaelHale As some research,we can make it like this
As my test,it is work well.

@yode That is interesting. But I read more about the issue. I just need to add my main directory as a trusted directory it seems.

Oh,yeah,that also is a workaroud,but if you share your .nb file to others,they cannot enjoy this feature anymore

@yode Oh no. I wouldn't want to be able to override that feature for others.

Up to you. :)

1:58 PM
@yode But if your trick for overriding that feature does work then I guess you could become a notorious Mathematica virus writer.

@MichaelHale My thoughts exactly, I thought there was no way that would work, but the test with Export seems to be the right idea for testing it

2:17 PM
Anybody know how to create a .nb file?
I'm in Mathemtica plugin for InterlliJIDEA

@yode You said that IGLargestIndependentVertexSets[g] was too slow. Can you give some concrete examples of graphs where you think it is too slow?
There was a crash bug that I just fixed.

@Szabolcs I have use it in here

Does anyone have experience with Serial Communication prior to v10 (DeviceOpen)? I would like to interact with an Arduino using a computer that only has a license for v9.

We’re always excited to see how people are using our technology in fields like math and science education, so we keep an eye out for new books that give educators ideas about exploring computational thinking in their classrooms. Here are a few titles we’ve come across recently. These books range from highly theoretical mathematical explorations [...]

@bobthechemist Concerning Serial Commnuication before V10, this may be usefull.
