I am not sure whether they should be considered duplicates. There is a difference between: "I've got this equation from a geometry problem, how do I solve it?" and "How do I solve this geometry problem?"

But even if they should be considered duplicates, then the opposite direction would make much more sense in my opinion, since the newer question contains much more detail.
