@Yes I will have to take your word for it. (As I have said, I do not know enough about these two programs.)

Anyway, I do not see problem with an answer which is copied from somewhere, as long as there is a proper attribution. We have many answers, where some theorem is simply quoted and a reference is given. (This is somewhat different, but still, the fact that it is copied is not a dealbreaker for me.)

@Yes BTW is it documented somewhere how many delete votes are needed for a question with the score 74?

(In any case, I do not feel strongly enough about that question to vote to undelete or reopen. But we clearly do not have the same opinion on big-list-type questions - book recommendations, software recommendations, advice, ... I think soft questions can be useful, but should only be asked in moderation.)

@MartinSleziak According to the following link the number needed is 3 plus the floor of one twentieth of the sum of the question score and the top answer score; or 10, whichever is smaller. meta.stackexchange.com/a/51071 In this case that means 3 + floor(130/20) = 9.

@MartinSleziak Users with reputation >= 10k (more precisely, the “moderator tools” privilege; 2k on beta sites) can vote to delete questions that have been closed/on-hold for 48 hours.

It takes three votes to delete; more if the question is popular, but ten votes at most.

I would consider such question to be a better choice of duplicate for: How to ask a good question that will receive responses. (Or at least it would be worth mentioning in the comments.)

But I did not find question that would exactly fit what I wrote above. (If we do not have such question, maybe it would be reasonable to post some such question on meta. I guess related questions are often asked on meta, although usually with emphasis of a specific question of the OP.)

I should probably come to this room more often. It seems number of my messages in this room has slipped down under 50%‌​. :-)

improve Finding solutions of a system of linear equations

I would be glad if the above questions could be undeleted. Main reason why I'd like to have it undeleted is that I have tried to explain in an answer how mistakes can be found when doing Gauss-Jordan elimination. I would be glad if I could link to this post when something similar appears in other posts.

But I definitely agree that it was correct that the post was closed for lack of context/effort.

My addition was adding an attempt to solution. It can be described as somewhat fake (in the sense that it was not provided by the OP), but you can notice that the OP asked about using substitution method in one of their comments.
