@Batman I only log into linkedin when I'm looking for work (or very, very bored). Emails go to some random address that only gets checked on my desktop, but it's obvious enough that I can log in when I need to. That also tells me when linkedin leaks me email address... so far only once, but since it's "we never give this out"... ooops. So I changed it, coz once one recruiter has it they all get it fairly quickly.

Apparently LinkedIn is being used more and more by potential employers. That's what I was told in any case

@PeteH I'd agree. Traditional job websites can be expensive so they're going directly to the source (linkedin being it)

got offered a help desk role quite recently which is not what I've done for several years now

@ynnekkram yeah, I kind of get thevimpressi0on that its m ore popular in sonme places than others, I mean, I'vev got relatives in Aus who use it as a fb equivalent

I do a bit of dabbling in both, although I keep LinkedIn professional and fb personal. I'm a bit sceptical of LI but I don't think it harms to keep a profile on there

Strange...I have a fb page for my company - just a placeholdcer. I can understand people looking at it, but I can't undrerstand anyone "liking" it. Yet it has several likes. What's the scam?
