Every single software design pattern or guideline or whatnut is some form of "general software engineering practice of separation-of-concerns" :-) — ashy_32bit just now

Heyho everyone, I'm currently struggling with a bit of code structuring and I'd be curious to read some opinions on how to structure this particular task best.
I have an entire program consisting of 3 tasks in total that all have some requirements and produce some data that the following tasks use:

1) Read in an input File line by line. The input file consists of units (clusters), store the the first line of each unit (its header) in List A, store a summary of the contents of each unit as int[] in List B and note the index in those lists of units that meet specific requirements in List C.

@AmirGonnen: I'm trying to say if you want more performance, the method I would recommend is random pausing, not your profile-guided optimizer. This post might explain further what I mean. — Mike Dunlavey 15 secs ago

@Curious If you consider those questions important, then go ask SoftwareEngineering.stackexchange.com what they think of the decision to remove Executors (or, apparently, split them off into their own paper?). As far as I'm concerned, "How do I do 'x'?" is a wholly different question than "why did they remove the previous method of doing 'x'?" — Xirema just now
