@Fred-ii- fair enough. TBH these type of questions always feel like pulling teeth! I wish debugging was given more emphasis for new programmers. — Steve 50 secs ago

About two years ago, a significant event happened at Stack Overflow: a new system, named Providence, was released. Providence would allow us to tell which technologies a visitor is interested in, and measure the “fitness” between a visitor and a job. The release of Providence marked a stepping stone in Stack Overflow’s continuous effort to be “smarter” and invest in data science, and it was only the beginning.

Aurélian Gasser, a developer on the Stack Overflow Jobs team, has detailed the long road towards building the greatest developer job search tool on the internet in his Medium post, A Dive …

I want to know what programming language is used the most for image processing in scientific researches? I am using Matlab (i am developing a website for researchers. so, I have to know wich language they use the most for testing their images processing methods)and I want to defend this choice

look up some papers on image processing with code and see which one they use

@ratchetfreak i did but i wanted to involve some statistics , is there any source i can confirm from ?

@ketimaBU look at more papers until you have a statistical significant sample
then publish a meta paper on that
then you can use that as your source :)

@ratchetfreak thank you :)

@ketimaBU Matlab for prototyping. At my previous job where I did image processing work, the more sciency folks used Matlab to come up with prototypes. There was some magical Matlab to native library tool that they used to plug it into systems. And if that wasn't good enough, we rerolled the algorithms in C++ using various libraries (some open source and others internally built).

Hey, I was directed here for my question which requires opinionated answers ^.^
I'm just wondering, nowadays, what languages are suitable for digital painting software projects, like Photoshop, or on a smaller scale, SAI.
