First, you're assuming that I downvoted. Second, it doesn't matter if you wrote it's programming related or not - if it is not programming related, it is off-topic here. This site is for programming (code) and programmers tools related questions. I asked you if it was programming related so you could explain how it was; if you can't do so, then your question does not belong here. I also gave you a link to Super User where it may belong instead. — Ken White just now

Sorry, let me be more explicit. This question is off-topic for Stack Overflow. It might be on-topic at the Software Engineering site. — JJJ 13 secs ago

Welcome on Stack Overflow. Your question is too broad. Stack Overflow is a site where programmers can ask other programmers for help on their coding issues. You have only posted a coding task description. Stack Overflow is not a free code writing service. Please take a look on help topics about asking from help center and edit your question afterwards. — Mofi 15 secs ago

@gnat everytime I see "softwareengineering.stackexchange" I smile :)

@RobertHarvey In regards to your comment here, I'm very glad to hear you're noticing a difference already! I'll admit I had a few moments of doubts or what-if-i'm-wrong thoughts, but based on my own experience I was fairly positive it would show a significant change :)

Anecdotally that's how I feel too

I'm fast-deleting fewer posts. I tend to only fast delete for one of the custom off-topic reasons.
I've actually had time to post a couple of answers.

@enderland I frankly don't feel anything special, "whatever name site community picks I will be fine with it". I only wanted site scope to stay as it is and glad to see that it did not change

@gnat bots don't feel though right? ;-)

@enderland right, "glad to see" in my prior comment was a bug in the bot implementation :)

@DaveNewton I am looking more for a standard way reactjs programmers deal with this situations; unless there is no standard — Nicola Pedretti 1 min ago

@RobertHarvey thanks for the edit. That answer was getting away from me.

I'm about to roll the dice on another self-Q&A on SO. Usually received by folks who have no clue and DV the heck out of them.
Wish me luck.
posted - now I wait for the community to dump on it.
well, no downvotes so far...

i can add one if you like :D

I love this room. When I get trolled, it's sincere trolling, and not that insincere junk like in the other rooms...

Tom
at least we try to keep it fun, not mean and insulting
now if only i could figure out why c++ is trolling me...

Aaron make up your mind. Is built-in hyphenated or not?

9:26 PM
I didn't use the hyphens, I think that was Jon.
I prefer builtins because that's the name of the module you can import in Python 3

Well figure it out. I'm trying to learn something about python here :)

in Python 2, you can do:
>>> __builtins__
<module '__builtin__' (built-in)>
>>> import __builtin__

Well if it's code it should be in backticks :P

maybe built-in would be better.

Decide already. it's distracting me from all the better reasons to downvote you.
