@nobody define beginner,,, my 75 year mom used gmail, and pre set bookmarks: links to the bank, youtube, trash pickuo days, etc. If that is what you all a beginner... tge desktop does not matter, If there is a need to put icons on the deskop (easier for beginners) I would go gnome2. Cinnamon is my fav, but it was Budgie before that

@ArturMeinild most of these are for when you can enter a system. And then you have a far bigger problem than a possibl bug in lscpu.

@vidarlo yeah same as with hardware... NEVER buy a 1st release. 1st let others buy it and complain about defects :D :D

@Rinzwind i think the biggest Trouble IS the Desktop. He use Windows 11. @JourneymanGeek remina or nix exactly Something I was looking for. And Debian is easy to maintain. 🤠
