You and jokerdino said the same thing. I think it's more upsetting that someone who had the world at their feet ended themselves. Leaves a lot of room for introspection and wondering why
I have an amazon ec2 instance running ubuntu. There are only a couple of user accounts and the server is used to host a small web app. Apparently, by default, each user account has an email account. We do not use these accounts.
Recently I discovered that one of the accounts is receiving "undeli...
Especially since I passed my book almost a month ago and she remarked reading my comments. And then she went overseas and now this whole incident happened.
@jrg can i do incremental improvements? improve upon what already exists, then continue to improve over the next few days? (since it'll be a few days before i make another improvement to include questions/tutorials about setup of various packages and what not that exist on the ubuntu wiki and stuff)
what made me rage is she refused to check at all. Even the greatest man can misplace simple things. But she was soooooo adamant that she ruled that out straightaway.
@jrg i'm going to give a (brief) overview of what can be installed by the Server installernow, and then also provide links to how-tos for some of the software you mentioned in addition to the core programs i state (that's giong to come later, i'm going to have to dredge up those items, most of which exists on the ubuntu wiki and not here)
@GeorgeEdison I think I figured out what is going on with the mac install, It is looking for libqjson.0.dylib , which I installed, but I can't just put it in the package, because it refers to links specific to my computer..

I hit 2K, had a rep recalc, ended up losing like 60 rep. I was floored. Then I took my 2 month break, came back and was like "screw it, rep is for children". :P
(and all of this happened the day/night before I left. :P)
the moral of that story is folks: Don't be a JRG. You end up being a moderator.
i find i often wonder about weird things...do you think there being no rage-face for orly is a gap in features, or that it normally equates to "u don't say?"

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream is a psychological horror point-and-click adventure game based upon Harlan Ellison's short story of the same name about an evil computer named AM that has destroyed all of humanity except for five people, who he has been keeping alive and torturing for the past 109 years. Each survivor has a fatal flaw in its character, and in an attempt to crush their spirits, AM has constructed a metaphorical adventure for each that preys upon their weaknesses. To succeed in the game, the player must make ethical choices to prove to the evil computer that humans are be...
we would have more of that if engines were easier to use(barring quake and quark)
i don't think linux users "demand" horribly performant/GPU intensive games. it's my opinion that if there were more "hey anyone can do this" engines, we would see a lot more humble-bundles(read as you don't have to code an engine from scratch in opengl)
something like that yes. if there were a common framework for all genres (say ogre for rendering, bullet for physics, blender for model design, etc ,etc) and templates for say race, shoot, rpg, isometric city, isometric shoot, "zelda" etc.... just my stance
the problem is that big ideas like that need big people behind them
