I am running into this error when attempting to run hive:
~/.linuxbrew/Cellar/hive/2.1.0/bin$ hive
Missing Hive Execution Jar: /.linuxbrew/Cellar/hive/2.1.0/lib/hive-exec-*.jar
However, when I "ls" that directory, it shows hive-exec-2.1.0.jar

I have get root access through sudo bash.
Now I am trying to SSH from bastion-staging (myserver-name) to ecash (another-server).

I know nothing, really, but maybe you want sed -E 's/^.*(.*).*$/\1/' ` it seems to work, but if I test on some other thing, there are some chars getting eaten as it is?
But I didn't manage to escape ' correctly so that Bash doesn't take it as quote, and I know it must be the last character in the line, so I simply used .$
But I'm currently considering to convert my question here on AU into a self-answered Q&A "How can I run user aliases with sudo", because I just crossposted it on codereview...

You can bypass aliases by the following methods:
the full pathname of the command: /bin/ls
command substitution: $(which ls)
the command builtin: command ls
double quotation marks: "ls"
single quotation marks: 'ls'
a backslash character: \ls
@ByteCommander and a +1 from me too. I also quoted the "$@" which is needed, for example, if your command has a space in its path. Have a look at the answers here: unix.stackexchange.com/q/251103/22222
I was reviewing this item from Ask Ubuntu's reopen queue and noticed that the side-by-side view is rendered incorrectly.
The images are too large, the one in the left column overlaps with the right column and the one in the right column extends into the sidebar.

It really isn't very useful to post the same bug report again though. It just clutters the site and makes it harder for the devs to track existing bugs. I don't understand why you chose to post it knowing it was a dupe.
seems useless to me as the only ones who would deserve the bounty are those who fix the bug, which are the devs who have no real use for the points anyway.
Damn, just read your answer on that boot to ram question @ByteCommander. Very nice! I won't upvote since you've already hit the repcap. Remind me tomorrow, that's a great answer.
What's a good ping for computer ⋄ switch ⋄ switch ⋄ computer? I'm getting ~0.4ms and I know that's fast enough but it feels slower than it's been before.
@Zanna I'm not yet evolved into a full goody two shoes, but definitely commit to things more. If I can't really be bothered with something, I just don't do it.

I saw this in review: http://askubuntu.com/review/close/622277
That is not a dupe of the suggested question, because the OP's specific question is not answered: Can Ubuntu install successfully to EMMC storage?
