Q: Being able to see deleted answers

I've seen in the past questions on the meta dealing with case specific problems that have been very intriguing, yet to find out that the linked question had been deleted resulting in the "Page not found!" prompt. After one of these questions are raised to view, they are usually deleted soon there...

@edwinksl I think the shortest route is to do concentration instead of minor. I originally planned to do minor in computer science . . . Now it's going to be too much hassle to request retaking a course. If my math is alright, I have just 6 courses left. I could stuff 4 courses into one semester + 2 into other and have internship that semester . . . maybe. . .

@edwinksl being mean to seasoned users is OK - they know the drill already. In fact people sometimes not strict enough to seasoned users and give them pass. Like Panda for example, he asked hardware related question even though he clearly has been on the site for some time already. His post should have been closed right a way.

Don't loose the focus here, though. It's not about reputation or being nice. If user clearly articulates reasons why the dupe doesn't work for them, then question should be left open. I mean, I pulled in bunch of sources , from meta posts, and even from Jeff Atwood himself.
