Ubuntu will want it in Debian first most likely, with it auto syncing from there. But FeatureFreeze is really really close - it may be too late for inclusion.

@cl-netbox yes, I need it for my Interface Techniques class. We are doing PIC18 microcontrollers, and currently interfacing them to PC with the serial connection. On windows 7 putty I get characters alright, but on Ubuntu - the chars show up invisible, the Ubuntu reads them as if they were control chars, so like ^H, ^E,^L,^L,^O
