I have an array with the 8 parts of the hash I need to append. Like Current_Hash[8], and I was doing a memcpy, without accounting the memory layout is little endian, the hash is supposed to be big endian
So are you the person to justify what content is on this site, or are you just biased towards someone whom asks a perfectly formidable and worthy questions related to other content on this site? @muru those comments weren't constructive either way, so they're pruned, but in either case, it may have been better to just flag it for attention instead of going and trying to continue the discussion with your point. In either case, there's merits to both sides.

I wonder if the many questions we have (that I struggle to find) about making an iso of the current installation could be duped to this one? Could we edit it to make that work? Am I on the wrong track entirely with this idea?
@Zanna It's definitely a good question, with good answers. The accepted answer could use expanding though.
Actually, to be honest... A few of the answers could use some expansion. They allude to the use of other software like remastersys and partimage, but don't really explain how to use them.
Anyways I would like to hear more opinions on what to do with the system-clone post, especially from folks with more experience & time on the site than me ^^^^^^^^
@Zanna Personally, I'm not too bothered either way. Closed or open the question is still there, as are the answers. Clonezilla is still the best way AFAIK, but the answer is crap. If I were you, I'd just hit skip and move on to something else.
@terdon yeah I'm not feeling too bothered myself whether the question should be closed or open, really I am thinking about the many posts we get asking for a way to "make an iso of my current installation" (with many different wordings) - it seems to me like there are a lot of these posts and they are not finding a good answer... I don't know whether we should be pointing/duping them to this one...
hmm so you think those posts asking to make an iso of existing installation belong with this one? Because I don't feel I understand this topic well enough to make a conclusion about that, which is why I am asking for input. I've never used Clonezilla or anything like that... so if this is >> /home/zanna/TODO then... I have a lot of work to do on it...
