Flagged:
SPAM Answer is here

user136984
@Fabby :D

user136984
Came across that one earlier!

@ByteCommander: if you want the link to the answer itself, click the little "share" button on the answer then copy that link. (you provided your review link) ;-)
@Toroidal: so you flagged it as well already?

user136984
@Fabby Yes

12:04 PM
When I'm in the room, you don't have to use the @ sign! :P

user136984
@Fabby Ok! :D

Only to attract my attention when I'm somewhere else!
(finger) ;-)

user136984
:D

Quite here today! Good! I can do some queueu reviewing!

That guy with the crappy dns server is still going on my nerves. Why does that thing not run? Driving me crazy... >:P

12:09 PM
@ByteCommander: I've just reviewed another defacement of yours!
You're very popular with the testing system!
@ByteCommander: you want me to butt in again???

@Fabby ;D
Hm, you could have a look on the guide I added to my answer, if you see any errors?

Is that yes? Please provide link again if yes, so I don't have to
go and hunt for it...

:)
I was jusr hunting for it. C U there!
@ByteCommander: you're wasting your time!
This guy knows nothing and has nothing installed!
Better to re-install. I would have told him that when he asked "how should I do that in my router?"

Hm, was just editing that answer once again back from shell commands to manual editing. Seems like I still have to train on that.

12:24 PM
Having a look...
You're too nice...
I'm having a thought... Give me 3 minutes.

I know I'm too nice. Sometimes.

His ISP is being bought up by another and that's why he's having problems...

But can you tell me why my shell commands did not work? I would love to learn this for personal education...

I'm still reading the awk manual. I only have a rudimentary knowledge of sed...

I had none and just quickly skimmed over a german ubuntu page describing it. That is why it doesn't work, obviously...
But now I need a fistful of cinnamon stars to recreate my poor burned brain. ;D

@Toroidal Just wanted to post that one too. ;D
As what should I flag this? Abusive? Low quality? Off-Topic??? Help! ;D

user136984
@ByteCommander I was just about to ask the same! :D

my first time upvoting something ridiculous: askubuntu.com/q/579686/115155

@don.joey Any idea which flag we should give it?

12:34 PM
:D:
:D

user136984
@ByteCommander: How about we give it a few flags, of each type if it allows? :D

just vote to close, opinion based

Spam!

how can we now whether she is pregnant.

@Toroidal Can't we give just one flag per post?

12:34 PM
the guy that designed this bot has humor

:D
Don Joey is right!
Too broad!!!

user136984
@ByteCommander We can, but if you are really unsure of which one you could do a few just to make sure it is covered.

2 flags already for "too broad"
now a comment....

user136984
I decided to flag it as blatantly off-topic.

Don't flag one post with many flags.. that's wasting reviewer time

12:36 PM
hello look at this question :)

user136984
@MehmetMertYidiran Yes, we are talking about that now.

super funny

@MehmetMertYidiran: flag as "too broad a question
and then read my comment!
and add another funny one too!
@Toroidal: not seeing your close vote!

I just spent a "blatantly off-topic" and a "low quality"! Some people seem to have a strange kind of humor.

I think this guy deserves +1000 reputation :)

12:39 PM
@don.joey: good one!

user136984
Well, I definitely flagged it with a close vote.

just for reference: what the bot tries to do is get comments that do not include the word spam.... I suspect this might have to do with the fact that SE also attributes value to questions that can generate comments and little downvotes...
@ByteCommander I was refering to m-sexchange as the tag pun of course

user136984

user136984
@Fabby Definitely flagged it.

@don.joey Oh, didn't get that one. Even more funny! ;D

12:42 PM
Yeah, sorry. It's only from 3000 and up that you can immediately close. If we have 5 close votes, it'll get closed and no answers can be posted any more...

we could also flag for spam...

Shall we do that???

user136984
With these things I never know if what they say is true, or whether they are just having a laugh...

user136984
:D

done

12:43 PM
@MehmetMertYidiran: flag as spam???

yes I flagged

user136984
But posting it in AskUbuntu is definitely not the right place.

@Toroidal probably, this is a real question that the bot stole from some other QA site

gone!

@Fabby SOLVED!!!! askubuntu.com/questions/579599/… Finally that guy's DNS works! =D YAY

I'm slowly running out of flags... maybe 4 or so remaining

We're good today! ;-)
OK, I'm back to close vote reviewing.

Yo, if it flows like this, at least we can have some fun and action in here!

Ah it was you???

Any mods or people with tag synonym privileges here?
I just posted a question and found out that there are two small tags: mv and mv-command, which are obviously synonyms.
But I don't have enough rep and votes on these tags to do this. Thanks!

Ryan WilsonI'm trying to download Dota 2. What way would you recommend me do that? Steam won't work for me because I get an error when i go to play the game.

Q: Nautilus sometimes refuses to rename files or folders - terminal works

ByteCommanderI sometimes have the following issue: I'm working with Nautilus (Ubuntu 14.10 with Unity) and for example create new folders. But when I want to rename them, I can select that in the context menu and also get into the edit mode (file name highlighted, text cursor there), but whatever key I hit, I...

@Toroidal You could also directly share the answer link btw.
And I don't think there is a need to flag this.
It might be not a good answer, but score -1 seems to be enough for me.

user136984
@ByteCommander Oh, I forgot how to do the direct link to it... But now I remember! :D

@Tim: Shout @Fabby, as I'm busy in another tab...

user136984
If you are to edit a post and then your edit is approved and then you get points for that. If then in about 10 minutes or so you notice another problem in the post which makes it need an edit and you edit it and the edit is approved, do you get another +2 rep points? Just wondering.

user136984
1:23 PM
Or do you only get it for the first edit?

@Toroidal You get 2 points for every accepted edit!
There even was a small discussion on meta about this, but I can't find it just now...

Q: unwanted automatic change wallpaper

user136984
But what do the rest of you folks think? :)

@Toroidal: change it, I'll review it and accept!

@Toroidal The guest session indeed gets resetted every login, BUT...

somewhere must be stored to what state it gets resetted!

user136984
@Fabby Sorry, change it to what?

And when you change this default guest session
all guest logins will derive from that modified version.

@Toroidal just starred what I was talking about...

1:30 PM
Or am I thinking wrong?

@blade19899: the one you wanted???? :-)

Somebody is starring every little *** post again!

@Fabby Yeah!

user136984
@Fabby The recent starred things are about the +2 edit thing. Is that what you mean, if not, you have lost me! :D

Now i can quit McDonald's!

1:32 PM

user136984
@Fabby: So is that +2 thing what you were talking about? :)

@Toroidal: Yes, exactly that! Just edit it, leave an @Fabby and I'll accept it!

Yes, I got just surprised when there were 4 stars running down my screen on mainly the same topic without any special importance or at least humor in it...

Hey hey, keep calm buddy. :]

@Toroidal: just accepted 2 of your edits... (though one still contained a grammatical error)
How did it go?
Credit or not?

user136984
Which one contained a grammatical error?

user136984
What was the error?

user136984
1:38 PM
@ByteCommander Couldn't someone abuse the system though if they had two accounts, one editing the other's post and one accepting?

user136984
If you see what I mean.

user136984
Or is there some auto SE feature which would detect that like voting fraud?

Edits get accepted also by the community, not only by the OPs.

You'd have to have 1 2000+ and one <1000 and a lot of other people would get credit too!

And you only receive rep for editing until 1000

1:39 PM
:D Exactly!

user136984
Oh...

And those who review it would become suspicious about one person doing many small edits on the same posts. Result: banned! (maybe...)

This one: askubuntu.com/questions/579627/… "automaticly"

user136984
I searched through and didn't find that.

@Toroidal: I'm teaching you English now???
English is my fourth language!
(OK, OK, I am a teacher of French and English, but for foreign language speakers...)
(Not for native ones!!!) :P

user136984
@Fabby: Wait... But I spelt it with 2 ls, and then you said it was spelt with 1 l, and then google backed me up that it is spelt with 2 ls... So now I am really confused! :D

user136984
Was I not right in the first place?

1:48 PM
What you said was: you edited this answer

user136984
Yes I did.

I said, I accepted, but there is still an error
You: where?

do you know this TCP/IP command? finger

user136984
Oh dear... I went back and re-read what you said, and I don't know why I read it wrong... :D Just a misunderstand then! :D

@chili555: Look at my comment for this one. If he responds, the next question will be: Oh, and the output to curl ip4.icanhazip and then I'm contemplating replying with the vendor ID of his NIC, router and country and a little note that the local police of his IP's city is already on its way and that he should wait patiently for their arrival...

Toki8I use Ubuntu and last firefox version. I have opened an image with firefox, and a crash occurred. Let's assume it's a crafted jpg to run an exploit, and execute arbitrary code. For instance, contact/ping/ ... a distant server. Is such code runnable for every OS ? Or it can't be universal ? So...

user136984
Or something else...?

user136984
It was just confusing me so I thought that I should bring it up here... :)

@Fabby sounds like an issue with a program
@Toroidal I flagged it to be moved over to Internet Secuirty SE

@Toroidal: Wanting to exploit smth.

4:26 PM
made a mistake meant Information

>:)

They actually have questions like this over there

@Virusboy Irrelevant - it's still too broad.

unlikely

Not to mention it's almost worded asking if a specific specially crafted item is "expolitable everywhere"
which makes me think malicious
it's worded as such, as i've seen such a thing in a lab textbook for security pentesting and such

4:28 PM
@Virusboy: For once I must agree with @ThomasW.
>:) Though this guy definitely didn't read any manuals! :D

hence why its needs to migrate to Information Secuirty

jrg
so there's a flag about migrating to infosec...
it's a junk question.

Yup!

jrg
the golden rule of migrations is don't migrate junk.

My idea too...

4:29 PM
ok

@Virusboy Flag it as "too broad" before he has time to answer...
Didn't I see my friend @chili555 just walk in?
Good evening!

Im not its ok. @Fabby

Good morning, @Fabby!

@Virusboy: OK! :)
@chili555: sometimes I see your icon in de middle of your night...

I looked at the thread you referenced above and I'm a bit puzzled.

4:32 PM
Does that mean you sleepwalk or is it the PC waking up?

@Virusboy Even there it's 'junk' and we have the issue of it being worded in a malicious manner - i'd suggest just closing the question over migration
because of the second part

LOL! Ubuntu gives me nightmares, too.

@Fabby I thought cracking, et al was not supported here. Why didn't he get a boot in the seat of his sweatpants?

problem is it keeps resetting to that
