A user can declare another user their rival. If the other user accepts the rivalry, both users lose 100 rep. The person who gained the most rep at the end of 7 days gets +500.
Also, why should we even downvote? We only lose rep.
Of particular interest are resource consumption comparisons of the official flavors e.g. Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Kylin, Kubuntu, etc.

my downvotes are about ten percent of my upvotes. so assuming i vote equally on questions and answers just think about how much i gave out versus how much i lost... gave out: 3000 rep. also, there are situations where you get rep from downvotes back.
You know what would be neat? A food truck with a different ethnic/regional menu every day of the week. Then you could get/give variety and keep the same customers/food source every day.
Question for basically anyone...It's rather opinion-based, so please don't start a flame war :D
I've got this terrible terrible Windows PC (not just because of the OS, Specs are :P too) and I'm reinstalling Windows to try and regain some semblance of speed.
And at the same time I would like to install a Linux Distro, just to see if I can't start converting my house, and also because Linux/Ubuntu is quite often faster than Windows.
I've got three distros in mind: Vanilla Ubuntu, Lubuntu, and Elementary OS Luna and I would like to know, which of these do any of you suggest? @Seth @hbdgaf @Rinzwind @Mateo?

ctl shift enter was used because it wasn't used for anything else except virtualization. so clobber keystrokes your best users probably use.... no wait...
@RPiAwesomeness Someone else might still flag, but i might have flagged something like that if it was someone I knew less, or if the violence was less directed at yourself
Yeah, a lot of people need MS and MS software for work and play. Stinks that closed-source (MS in general) has so permeated the software world that few people can get away consistently.
You can't parse [X]HTML with regex. Because HTML can't be parsed by regex. Regex is not a tool that can be used to correctly parse HTML. As I have answered in HTML-and-regex questions here so many times before, the use of regex will not allow you to consume HTML. Regular expressions are a tool th...
Everyone has (or so I hope) read the Help Center and the How to Ask and they put some guidance in what to do before, during and after asking a question. Now, there's a part that has been worrying me immensely and is this:
Search, and research
Have you thoroughly searched for an answer be...
