If I remember right, lubuntu can run with 64mb, but it can't install with that little, so that's why you need the alternative installer
but as I think about it more, the alternative installer is pretty much what @NoTime is saying: you start with the minimal iso and add things from there.
I don't want an OS that can't run on everything, I need to pull out my old Apple II and have it work. :) maybe I could write the kernal from the new free programming language Basic from this small company called Microsafe
oh I mean Microsoft
@Chan-HoSuh are you asking about minimum to do headless?
on the life experience versus life experiences thing. it's on how you hear it. i hear life experience as a singular blob of all that crap people have to go hrough, while life experiences refer to several specific pieces of crap that amount to a particular culmination of experience. so if it's just crap in a pile that everyone goes through, it's life experience. if it's a couple or several specific issues that amount to passing a point then it's life experiences.

I am using Netbeans for C++ on Ubuntu 14.04. Ubuntu comes with the Open JDK Runtime, which is what Netbeans is currently using - see below:

So why is it that when you run some applications from the Terminal they run but you are not able to close the Terminal widow? For instance, if I type cairo-dock in the Terminal it runs/opens but when I close the Terminal window it exits/closes.

I'm watching the ubuntu home page, or searching for news about ubuntu every once in a while, they say they should be out by the end of the year. but the manufactures are supposed to be "bq" and "meziu" cnet.com/products/bq-aquaris-ubuntu-edition
I'm attempting to open multiple xterms and run a command as an SAP user via sudo using PSSH. So far, I'm to run PSSH to a file of servers with no check for keys, open every xterm in to the servers in the file list, and SUDO to the SAP(ADM) user, but it won't do anything else afterwards.

My question was:
Roguelike platformers available on ubuntu?
Are there any rogue-like >side scrolling platformers< available on ubuntu?
I downvoted both answers, because they did not in my opinion, answer my question in the slightest. For example: I asked for a roguelike sidescrolling platformer...

it's better than a wall, unless you're on a delete all the things kick. i'm more comfortable with loads of garbage questions pointing to good data until we reach a point where the duplicates distract you from where you're trying to go.
@hbdgaf I assure you that if people still keep posting duplicates is because they are not finding what they are looking for, there's a meta Q supporting this view: I agree with Braiam here, these duplicates provide no value. They only make it difficult to find proper answers. Such questions still hitting the site should be an indicator that proper information is still difficult to find.
the css fetched late for me, so i got hello world xml and a styled thing later on css application though... so you might want to look at not loading dom elements via JS until after the CSS loads
I like ST. I haven't used Komodo as much as I should. Better code completion from what I hear, but it is still a blob I have to accept or not. And ST is more neutral to me.
