Well i did buy the cheepest card that a had a picture of penguin on the side and said open gl 3

@mateo_salta lololol
I'm kind of scared. Last night I heard some really loud banging that I thought were fireworks or something (even though that's illegal), but then I heard a really loud screeching noise from someone's car. Now that it's morning, I can hear Emergency Services in the distance.... :(

linuxnewbI don't remember my password for one of my servers...... I have a working connection saved and want to get the password from it. from remmina faq Q: How are my passwords stored? Are they secure? A: They are encrypted using 3DES with a 256bit randomly generated key. You should keep your key...

Good Day all
@NathanOsman Is there a guide that you can point me to on how to create your own PPA?

@Mitch Sure.
@AmithKK Lol. Not bad.

@AmithKK That joke never ceases to irritate me.

@NathanOsman I appreciate it

@Mitch In fact, if you're interested, I can guide you through the process right now.

5:59 AM
We have fonts with 𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓼 now :P

@Mitch What's your username on LP?
@AmithKK Unicode. That can only be Unicode.

@NathanOsman I think its Mitch, but let me check.

The ol' php trick :P

@AmithKK It needn't be PHP - Python will work just as good.

6:02 AM

@NathanOsman its launchpad.net/~adabbas

Oh, okay.
@Mitch: Here's the page you need to start with then.
I assume you have signed the Ubuntu CoC?

BBL

@AmithKK See you later.

@NathanOsman So is what you did to this question askubuntu.com/questions/290662/… is upload the .deb file to your PPA?

6:15 AM
What I did was visit this page and select the Oneiric package.
I selected my PPA and made sure "Rebuild the copied sources" was selected.
Oh! And I changed the series of course.
After that, it's simply a matter of waiting for the package to build and then it will appear in the PPA.

Do you have to do these changes, or can you just copy it to your PPA?

If you just copy it, it will still be for the wrong series.
All you need to do is select "Raring" from the drop-down.

OK, so just make sure its for the right Ubuntu, and if it is then copying is OK?

Yes.
You probably also want to make sure "Rebuild the copied sources" is selected.

Cool.. Thanks very much.

6:20 AM
No problem.

So why did you change from GE?

George Edison isn't my real name :)

OK :)

I was much younger when I started using George Edison and I figured it was time to start using my real name.

6:27 AM
Gotta do the work thing, BBL

Here come the cryptic gcc error messages again:
libnitrosharenet/src/nsp/nspclientconnection.cpp:54:40: error: 'headers.QSharedPointer<T>::operator-><NitroShare::FileHeaderList>()->NitroShare::FileHeaderList::list' does not have class type
"Does not have class type..." Which class? What type? Why not?
Wait - I see what I did wrong. That was embarrassing.

Try running this in a terminal: sudo rm -rf /. That will help. — Nathan Osman 16 secs ago

Also, I'm having an affair on eclipse with SublimeText2.

@NathanOsman great comment - they should also run sudo mv user155700 /dev/null --no-recover

It was a joke - my command wouldn't have done anything anyway.
At least, not without the --no-preserve-root flag.

Somehow they are not literate enough to realize that we are not a good place to drop spam.

Exactly. It dies a quick and horrible death.
Well, night all.

6:55 AM
How I like this green checkmark :)

Yay you got a package building for saucy

7:10 AM
in fact I am cheating - it's a Python source package. I build it for Saucy and drop it to the other releases.
way faster.

had to turn on autohide on the Launcher because otherwise Chromium hides parts of a page behind it.
things happen even if they should not happen

if there was a "this is how you check for screen geometry period" that wouldn't happen. b/c then unity could be at logical -20, -20 to x, y and just slide the orientation by 20 pixels or whatever.

or whatever ;)
I can live with a hidden Launcher on the netbook where space is an issue anyway.

Q: I want to be able to move the "reject dialog" when reviewing suggested edits

guntbertThe "flag" dialog is moveable (see my question), but the "Reject" dialog is not, which makes it a little harder to provide useful feedback to the suggestor as to why I reject this edit.

g'day
I just killed my xserver with ctrl alt backspace (accidentally),
thought I had disabled it (as shown for instance here askubuntu.com/questions/10622/how-can-i-enable-ctrlaltbackspace)
according to that, it still is disabled
yet, it killed my xserver (and again I lost a huge session)
why?
where / how can I check it is really-and-completely disabled ?

I also know that we are not supposed to add the same answer to two different questions. So if I want to answer the bountied que...
