Just... weird.

This answer contains content that a reasonable person would deem inappropriate for respectful discourse.
certainly falls under that.

Okay.
Also... on the answer that got accepted... I'm suspicious of the OP now.
Could a mod please check if the accounts are related in any way?

Q: Is there an online/web interface to search and list apt-get packages and see summaries and recommendations?

EhrykI'm looking for sort of an 'app-store' or Google Play store type functionality for apt-get packages. What I'd really like to do is select a category, like 'Music' or 'Internet' and see the list of available packages in that category with their summaries. It'd be even better if the packages had r...

Q: Shall I upgrade my OS from Ubuntu13.04 to Ubuntu13.10?

RaviI am working on Ubuntu13.04. Now Ubuntu13.10 is available. So, I wanted your advice on what added features and advantages I may expect from the latest version. I read this link to know about the latest version. Below is an excerpt from the link: The most important is, of course, the new Linux ...

Q: Can windows application be used as an answer in main?

DanI am referring to this answer. I understand that, in theory, it can work in wine. But there is no claim about it whatsoever that it is 100% functional. I've written my 2 cents as comment on the answer: That links a paid solution that downloads an exe application (a.k.a. Windows Application)....

Q: Local Server not accessible on Linux

rafeeMy Internet company set up a local server, where different files are hosted. I can download files at much higher speed from there. But for some reason, the server is not accessible from Ubuntu 13.10 I am using, or Fedora 19. So the problem should be Linux specific. N.B. It is perfectly accessibl...

even if we're using it in the context of imaginary internet points

Anybody know how I can recover from my 1pt? - I lost all my points in a bounty, when I was still new to StackExchange -
Maybe a moderator can bump me back to 15pts or something? =/

not a dupe of the linked questions: http://askubuntu.com/questions/365992/ubuntu-13-10-installing-mariadb/366491#366491 Those are about general installation. This is a about handling mismatched version numbers.

Why are people on SO so rude?
Why does this get a downvote???

9:00 PM
@rm-vanda not really - you've been blocked from giving any new answers - probably because of quality issues. I would suggest but some research into asking good questions that earn rep or supply good quality edits to existing questions and answers to earn yourself 2 rep at a time. After a while, the block would probably be released since it shows you are actively engaging with the site.

@JorgeCastro I keep forgetting the name of the feature in Juju that I'm waiting for that will let me deploy to a VPS.
Last time I asked you, you gave me a date of around late October.

the ssh provider

Is it in any of the PPAs yet?

it's in juju itself
it just does stupid things, like tries to deploy without the cloud archive
we should have a release in like 2 weeks or so
that should sort it

Oh, okay.

it'll be something like this

10:01 PM
I'm hoping to try it on one of my Linodes.

you'll fire up your DO instance
get the ip
(or linode)
then set it up for passwordless ssh
then something like "juju add-machine ssh://x.x.x.x
then you can deploy

Ah - and I can deploy multiple charms to the same server - including the zookeeper, right?

zookeeper is gone
it's mongo now in juju-core
yeah you'll go like this
juju bootstrap
juju deploy --to 0 wordpress
deploy to machine 0 basically

Great!
I can't wait to give that a try.

juju deploy --to 0 lxc:wordpress
but my syntax is probably wrong on that
