11:01 PM
@AttackingHobo I've exercised UV mapping and drawing my own textures based on uv maps :D
the result is ugly as fuck
but I called it abstract art

@AlexM. ha

ha

@MLM What if I told you that I record timelapse videos at normal speed.

@AlexM. what is up with the eyes

I basically started copying the old RuneScape graphics somehow

11:02 PM
@AidanMueller hahahah

I'll add detail in time in the same way detail was added to RuneScape
@AttackingHobo they exist

@AlexM. just whipped this up earlier to test some lighting

looks like darwinia

@AlexM. ha now I can see those green dudes sliding around
also rendered this last night

@AttackingHobo Did I say normal speed? I meant to say that I slow them down.

11:10 PM
I saw OS X installers today
I gotta say, they make Windows' "next, next, next, next, install" process look complicated
I did feel a bit weird dragging an icon onto a folder to install Xcode
I bet someone at Apple laughs daily at people looking like retards while doing that

@AlexM. IDK OSX is really cool about some things. other things make me watch to go back in time and give Steve Jobs pancreatic cancer.

for the moment I'm glad I got my own mac at work
when I was moved to the capital for a week I used ultra vnc to work on a shared mac with everyone else
oh god the lag
now I got my own mac at my own desk

osx is shit over remote
teamviewer is amazong on PC but wtf on osx

the downside is, I have to get used to two keyboards and two mice on the same desk
@AttackingHobo that's not all tbh

@AlexM. use synergy

11:15 PM
try Synergy
if it's still working

it was mostly about N people building their games and libraries at the same time

great fucking program

@Almo beat you

on the same machine

:D

11:16 PM
@AlexM. use synergy, you can use one keyboard/mouse for multiple machines
@AlexM. also, ouch
I use Mouse Without Boarders at work cause im all windows

> We offer an enterprise version of Synergy for businesses, universities and government.
not sure I can make the company buy this just for me
ok, time to look for svn clients on mac
IIRC tortoisesvn doesn't exist there

I had one
not on my mac at the moment though
so ican't tell you what it was :(

meh this one's paid
is every software for mac ultra well designed?

@Almo Synergy is open source. I think the enterprize version has included support
@AlexM. ^

as in
with eye-candy

11:20 PM
@AlexM. nope

is there software that looks ugly

yeah

you know, meant for programmers

though it looks ugly in a different way

oh man, Synergy looks amazingly helpful

11:20 PM
synergy is great

I too suffer from the multi-computer setup

@AlexM. there is shit made for every OS

I used it when i was at ubi working part time on the mac

cool

@Chris if you just use windows, Mouse without Borders is better

11:21 PM
best set up is double tap pointer on edge of screen to move to other computer

@AttackingHobo I'm mainly Mac with a bit of Windows

Could somebody tell me what your favorite stereotype is?

@AidanMueller Sony

Same here.
They have good quality.

UML stereotypes

11:21 PM
Best types of radios

I think bose has good stuff too.

bose is overpriced shit

@AidanMueller I love our Focal speakers driven by an Arcam mini solo.
Bose does not deliver good sound quality.

Better than average quality shit, but still overpriced and over marketed

they're not the worst for sure
but for same money you can get better

11:23 PM
... am I the only one who didn't think of audio stuff when he saw stereotypes?
I mean there's no connection between stereotypes and audio

clipboard sharing too?! is this real life

@Chris nope, just a fantasy

on audio stuff

I'll take it

11:24 PM
I use skullcandy because the headphones look good
the sound is good enough for me

@AlexM. skullcandy makes me sad

2cool4u

skullcandy is probably the best you can get without paying anything

In ear headphones make my ear holes sad

I had this sweet pair of Shure headphones
but holy crap the headband dug into my skull

11:26 PM
these look awesome

I ended up discolouring the top of my hair for a few months cuz the headband sunk into my head so hard hahaha

also the amount of non-free software seems to be higher on mac than on windows
> So what does this have to do with kilometres to miles? Well, the ratio of km to mi is 1.609 to 1. Since 1.609 is so close to the golden ratio, you can use the Fibonacci numbers to convert between kilometres and miles! For example, 5 km is quite close to 3 miles (3.1 mi). 8 km is almost exactly 5 miles, 13 km is 8 miles, 21 km is 13 miles, etc! I think this is awesome.

> Genius
what's next man, Serioux?
Hama?

That's what I got. Super comfortable. Crazy bass

11:31 PM
Genius hardware doesn't break, I'll give it that

@AlexM. yeah. metal headband is part of the reason I bought it

I was expecting my current skullcandies to break after reading through the comments but... they didn't
and I haven't taken that much care
I carry them with me to work every day

I have a large head, and that tends to put stress on plastic headphone parts and they break.
